About Udaan

The fact sheet.

Who we are, in facts you can check — because that is the standard we hold every college page on this site to.

What Udaan is
An independent, fee-based admissions counselling practice for Indian undergraduate and postgraduate admissions (BBA, MBA, law, engineering, MBBS and study abroad), with management (MBA and BBA/IPM) admissions as the focus area.
Founded
2016
Lead counsellor
Piyush Agarwal — 10 years in direct admissions counselling. The person who answers the WhatsApp line is the person who guides the admission.
Independence
No partner colleges. No commissions from any institute we recommend. Our fee comes from the family, which is why our shortlist answers only to the student’s interest.
Where the money goes
Every college fee is paid by the family to the college directly — never through us, never in cash to an agent. Any payment demanded above a published fee is capitation, and we tell families to walk away.
How we work
Remote-first, across India, on WhatsApp (+91 89819 78073, chat only). There is no walk-in office; that is a deliberate choice, not an omission — it keeps the practice lean and the advice location-neutral.
What we never say
We never promise a seat, quote a “package” for one, or claim quota access that a university itself denies. If the honest answer for a profile is “not this cycle”, that is the answer we give.
Public profiles
Instagram (@udaan_educationadvisors) and Trustpilot (claimed profile). Reviews shared directly with us are labelled exactly that until platform reviews accumulate.

How the fee model works

  1. The first consultation is free — around 30 minutes, with the counsellor, to understand the student's goals, scores and budget before anything is recommended.
  2. If we can genuinely help, we state our exact scope and fee in writing before you commit. Across this market, fees range from a few thousand rupees for one-off sessions to several lakh for end-to-end overseas packages; you will know ours precisely, upfront.
  3. Our fee covers counselling only. Every college fee — application, tuition, everything — is paid by you to the college directly.

How we verify what we publish

  • Every figure on this site is stored with its source and the year it applies to, and the source is named next to the figure on the page.
  • When we cannot verify a figure on an official page, we do not print a number — we link the official page and say "confirm on the official page".
  • Pages carry a visible last-verified date, and corrections are recorded in a changelog line on the page itself — including the time we corrected our own NMAT-attempts error against the official NMIMS handout.

The questions behind this page

Is Udaan Education Advisors a legitimate consultancy?
Udaan is an independent, fee-based admissions counselling practice founded in 2016, led by Piyush Agarwal (10 years in direct admissions counselling). It has no partner colleges, takes no commissions from institutes, and every college fee is paid by the family to the college directly. Its claimed public profiles are Instagram and Trustpilot.
How does Udaan make money?
From counselling fees paid by families, agreed in writing before any engagement, after a free first consultation. Udaan takes no commission from any college and handles no college fees: those are always paid to the institution directly.
How does Udaan verify the facts on this site?
Every figure on this site carries its source and the year it applies to. When a figure cannot be verified on an official page, the site shows a link to that official page instead of a number. Pages display a visible last-verified date, and corrections are recorded in a changelog on the page itself.
Does Udaan have an office I can visit?
No, by design. The practice is remote-first: counselling happens over WhatsApp across India. That is stated openly because a consultancy inventing an address is exactly the kind of dishonesty this site warns families about.
