Last updated 19 July 2026

As of July 2026, Udaan provides independent MBA and PGDM admission counselling across India: exam mapping, profile-based B-school shortlisting, application tracking, interview preparation and offer comparison. You work directly with Piyush Agarwal. Udaan takes no college commissions, handles no college fee payments and never claims to control a merit list or admission decision.

Who this MBA counselling service is for

This service is for candidates who need to turn scattered options into a defensible plan. You may be deciding which exams to take, whether a shortlist fits your profile, how to recover from a missed exam, which application deserves effort, or whether an offer justifies its cost.

It is also for families who have received conflicting advice about “direct” routes. We separate the route an institution actually publishes from the route someone merely claims to sell. If a claimed option cannot be verified, it does not enter the shortlist as a fact.

You do not need counselling simply because many colleges exist. You need it when the choice, timing or evidence is difficult enough that structured research and a second judgement will improve the decision.

What independent counselling means here

Udaan is paid by the family for clearly described advisory work, not by a college for an enrolment. College relationships do not decide which names appear on the list. We can recommend a lower-cost or less obvious programme when it fits better, and we can recommend applying nowhere yet when the current choices do not justify the investment.

The student keeps control of every application account, document and official payment. Application, acceptance and tuition charges go to the institution or responsible counselling authority through its stated channel. Udaan organises and reviews; it does not impersonate the student or receive college fees.

What is included, and what is not

The work can cover profile analysis, exam planning, school research, shortlist reasoning, application organisation, selection preparation and offer comparison. The exact scope should match the decisions you need help with rather than force every candidate into one package.

An admission consultant cannot change an exam score, waive a school’s published requirement, create an unpublished quota, issue an offer letter or control a merit list. Udaan will not describe professional support as control over an outcome. The detailed boundary map is in what an MBA admission consultant can and cannot do.

How Udaan verifies changing MBA information

Every important external claim needs an owner and a date. We use the institution’s current admission page, brochure, fee notice or selection policy for school-level facts. We use official registries and approval material for recognition questions, including the UGC recognised-university directory and relevant AICTE approval guidance.

We label what has been published, what still needs confirmation and what is only an interpretation. Fees, exams, dates and selection processes can change by cycle, so a recommendation is checked again when the student is ready to act.

MBA admissions intelligence for each decision

These five guides make the service transparent before you contact us:

You can use the same guides to evaluate Udaan. The standard should not change because the adviser wrote the checklist.

The first conversation

Bring your graduation details, exam plan or scores, work experience, budget, preferred locations, career direction and the applications already in motion. If an offer or urgent payment request is involved, keep the official document and payment instruction ready.

The first task is not to produce the longest possible college list. It is to identify the next decision, the evidence needed to make it and the route that remains under your control.

How Udaan helps

  • A reasoned profile and route map

We turn your academics, exam position, experience, budget and goals into a written set of decisions, not a generic college list.

  • A balanced B-school shortlist

Each option has a reason, an official admission route and a clear role as a reach, realistic or safer choice.

  • Applications kept under control

We organise official links, requirements and deadlines, then review the material you remain responsible for submitting.

  • Selection-round preparation

Practise the written, group and personal interview stages your actual shortlist uses, with direct feedback on the next improvement.

  • Offer comparison without a sales push

Compare programme fit, published cost, recognition, location and outcomes before committing to a final choice.

Eligibility at a glance

Degree status
Each institution publishes its own graduation and final-year rules. We check the current programme notice instead of applying one threshold to every school.
Entrance route
The accepted exam or official admission route depends on the programme. We map only routes the institution or responsible authority currently publishes.
Programme recognition
MBA and PGDM programmes sit in different institutional structures. We verify the university, programme and relevant approval context before recommending.
Profile factors
Academics, exam performance, work experience, application material and selection rounds can matter differently by school. Your shortlist reflects that difference.

Eligibility, quotas and cut-offs are set by the authorities and change each year, always confirm the current rules with the official body and the institution.

Good to know

Questions, answered

What does an MBA admission consultant actually do?
A consultant can assess your profile, map official routes, help build a shortlist, organise applications, prepare you for selection rounds and compare offers. The institution still controls eligibility, shortlisting and the final admission decision.
Which MBA entrance exam should I take?
That depends on the programmes you may realistically target, the exams they currently accept and your available preparation time. We map the school list and exam list together so you do not prepare for a test that does not serve your plan.
Can Udaan help if I have a low score or missed CAT?
Yes, provided a legitimate route still fits the profile and cycle. We check alternative exams, university processes and current applications from official sources. We will also say clearly when an attractive claim has no published route behind it.
Does Udaan help with applications and MBA interviews?
Yes. The scope can include application planning, student-prepared material review, deadline tracking and practice for the written, group or personal interview stages used by your shortlisted programmes.
How do MBA admission consultant fees work?
The fee should correspond to written professional work, not an admission outcome. Ask what stages, deliverables, adviser access and cancellation terms are included. Application, acceptance and tuition payments should go directly to the institution through its official channel.
Does Udaan receive a commission from colleges?
No. Udaan is an independent advisory and does not take college commissions. That means the shortlist can begin with your fit, budget and goals rather than a partner inventory.
Who will advise me?
MBA counselling is led by Piyush Agarwal, Udaan's founder and lead counsellor. His profile explains the practice, experience and verification approach, so you can see who is responsible for the advice before you begin.
