Indore’s MBA map starts with its institution of national importance — and unusually for an IIM, IIM Indore publishes the numbers a planner actually needs: the percentile floors, the fee, and an externally readable placement report. This profile carries all three from documents opened on 28 August 2026.

How does the selection machine actually run?

Three published stages. Stage I is the percentile floor from the official Admission Procedure PDF: for the 2026-28 batch, General and EWS candidates needed 90 overall with 80 in each CAT section, NC-OBC 80/70, SC 60/55, ST and PwD 45/40. Stage II shortlists for a Personal Interview on a composite of Class 10, Class 12 and CAT sectional scores — interviews run in seven cities or online. Stage III builds the final merit list with the PI carrying 45 of 100 points, CAT sectionals 40, Classes 10 and 12 ten between them, and diversity five. The PDF also states plainly that meeting minimum eligibility does not guarantee shortlisting, and that consistent minimum performance across every PI parameter is required.

What does it cost, and what does it return?

Rs 24,11,800 for two years for resident Indians, published on the programme page itself — lodging and the alumni fee included, books and mess extra. Against it, the 2023-25 consolidated placement report records an average CTC of Rs 29.57 LPA, median Rs 27 LPA, highest domestic Rs 70 LPA across 225+ recruiters. A published fee and a published outcome make the payback arithmetic honest — this is what every Indore option should be measured against.

Where does IIM Indore sit in an Indore shortlist?

As the merit ceiling — the CAT-only door with the highest audited outcome in the city.
