KMAT 2026 registration closes 15 July

The short answer
As of July 2026, KMAT Karnataka registration closes on 15 July 2026, per the official KPPGCA exam site. KMAT is the recognised route into the management share of seats in Karnataka's AICTE-approved affiliated colleges, so if that layer is part of your MBA plan, registering before the deadline is the whole game this week.

What should you do now?
- If the Karnataka management-seat layer is in your plan, complete KMAT registration on kmatindia.com before 15 July — the exam is home-proctored and open to candidates from outside Karnataka.
- Before paying any college anything, confirm its published fee in the KEA documents and the college's own fee page; anything above the published figure is capitation, a criminal offence in Karnataka.

KMAT is the exam run by the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association for the management share of seats in its AICTE-approved, university-affiliated member colleges — its site lists 189 member institutions for MBA. It is the closest thing Karnataka has to an official “management quota exam”, and it costs a registration fee, not lakhs.
Two things it is not: it is not a route into the deemed universities agents usually name (Christ, Jain, Alliance, GITAM and NMIMS fill every seat through their own published processes), and it is not a paid shortcut — seats are allotted on merit within the management share, at fees published before option entry.
