The published seat machine

Of 180 sanctioned MBA seats, 153 fill through UPCET counselling conducted by AKTU — the state’s centralised, rank-ordered process. The remaining 27 seats fill through management quota and vacant seats, but read what the disclosure actually says: applications against a published calendar (the 2025-26 cycle ran applications to 12 September, results 13 September, admission list 14 September, closure 15 September), selection on 70% entrance test + 20% personal interview + 10% qualifying marks, and the same tuition for every seat. This is what a legal management quota looks like in Uttar Pradesh — a capped minority of seats inside an entrance-tested, fee-regulated process, not a bazaar.

The price, and what it buys

Rs 70,380 a semester in tuition, approved by the state fee committee — roughly Rs 2.8 lakh for the full two years, plus Rs 5,000 security, AKTU exam fees at university norms, and hostel at Rs 83,000-88,000 a year. That fee tier matters: it is the value end of Lucknow’s MBA market, an order of magnitude below Jaipuria’s Rs 15.25 lakh. What you trade for it is evidence: the placement page advertises a Rs 16 LPA highest and Rs 4.5 LPA average across ‘1500+ companies’, but no dated cohort report sits behind those numbers — so we label them institute claims, not verified outcomes, and do the fee-to-claim math accordingly.
