BBA in Delhi Without an Entrance Exam (2026): IPU, VIPS, Amity, and What Direct Admission Costs

Yes, you can start a BBA in the Delhi region without writing CUET, IPU CET or any national entrance, but not at the colleges the “direct admission” websites keep promising. IPU and its affiliated colleges, including VIPS, fill BBA seats through CET and CUET counselling, and Delhi University admits only through CUET. The genuine no-exam routes are NCR private universities that admit on Class 12 marks through their own published processes.

What “without entrance exam” honestly means

Three different things get sold under one label.

Class 12 merit or the university’s own process. You apply directly, and selection runs on your board marks, an accessible in-house test, or an interview. Legitimate, published, open to everyone.

Management quota. A small, regulated share of seats at some institutions, filled through the college’s own notified process. Real in specific places, wildly oversold everywhere else.

Agent-brokered seats. A consultancy claims it can “arrange” a seat at a college whose official route is an entrance exam. This is the version behind most pages ranking for this search, and it is the version that costs families money.

The IPU and VIPS truth: CET or CUET, then counselling

The top-ranking pages for this keyword claim direct BBA admission in “IPU colleges”. The university’s own Admission Brochure for 2026-27 says otherwise. For the BBA and allied programmes group (programme code 125): “Admission shall be on the basis of the merit of the CET. The vacant seats after exhausting the merit list of CET will be filled through the merit list of CUET.” Eligibility is a pass in Class 12 “with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate” plus English as a passed subject. VIPS is a GGSIPU-affiliated institute, so its BBA seats fill through that same CET and CUET counselling, whatever an agent tells you. Its official course page is at vips.edu.

The kernel of truth agents stretch: the brochure’s reservation chapter allows self-financing affiliated institutes a management quota of 10% of seats, “unless surrendered by the institution for common counselling”. Even those seats run on the institute’s own published process, with eligibility intact. Two more things IPU itself publishes: a “Beware of Touts” notice on its admissions page, and a note that there is no counselling participation fee for 2026-27 admission. The university is telling you, in writing, not to pay middlemen.

Delhi colleges that DO require an entrance exam

Listicles ranking for this search put CUET-only institutions under “without entrance exam”. Corrections, from official documents:

• Delhi University colleges (Shaheed Sukhdev CBS, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College): every DU undergraduate seat, including BMS and BBA (FIA), is allocated through CSAS, and DU’s CSAS(UG) 2026 document states it is “mandatory for the candidate to appear in CUET (UG) 2026”. No exceptions, no quota.
• GGSIPU and all its affiliated colleges: CET or CUET, as above.
• Symbiosis: SET is mandatory for SCMS Noida and every Symbiosis BBA. Any site offering “Symbiosis direct admission support” is selling something the university explicitly rules out; we cover this in detail in our Symbiosis direct admission guide.

NCR universities that genuinely admit without a national exam

These are real, published, no-CUET routes. Note the honest geography: all of them sit in the NCR, not in Delhi proper.

• Amity University, Noida. Admission runs on programme-specific selection rounds, an English written test, group discussion and/or interview, per its official FAQ. Amity also documents two seat categories: Non-Sponsored, and a Sponsored category its own FAQ describes as reduced cut-offs with a differential fee structure. Details on our Amity Noida BBA profile.
• GD Goenka University, Gurugram. Selection is the GD Goenka Aptitude Test followed by a personal interview. Eligibility is 10+2 from any stream, so no maths requirement. See our GD Goenka BBA profile.
• Sharda University, Greater Noida. SUAT, the university’s own test, plus a personal interview. Its BBA page currently asks for 55% in 10+2 with Commerce or Mathematics as a subject, and publishes merit scholarships of 10 to 100 percent tied to marks slabs, with 95 percent and above mapping to the top slab.
• Bennett University, Greater Noida admits on Class 12 merit with CUET optional, as reported by Careers360; confirm on bennett.edu.in before applying.

What direct admission actually costs

Only figures we verified on official pages appear here. Where a university does not publish a number we could confirm, we say so rather than quoting aggregator guesses.

Note what is missing: a special “direct admission price”. At universities with a published process, everyone pays the same published fee. A middleman’s lump-sum “package” is the same fee plus his margin.

What agents won’t tell you: IPU’s brochure caps the management quota at 10% of seats at self-financing colleges, and IPU publishes a Beware of Touts notice alongside it. Jamia Hamdard’s site carries a similar warning against touts promising admission. The universities themselves are on record: nobody can sell you a seat outside the published process. If a consultancy’s answer to “which exact rule lets you do this?” is a WhatsApp forward instead of a brochure clause, you have your answer.

Eligibility myths worth killing

• “40 to 60% works everywhere.” No. IPU wants 50% plus English, Sharda’s page says 55% plus Commerce or Maths, GD Goenka takes any-stream pass. Per college, not folklore.
• “You must be 17 to 22.” This age band appears on agent sites and in no official eligibility criteria we checked for 2026-27.
• “Maths is never needed.” Usually true, but not always: Sharda’s current BBA criteria ask for Commerce or Mathematics at 10+2.

The online BBA: the other honest no-exam route

If your constraint is cost or the need to work while studying, a UGC-entitled online BBA is a legitimate alternative to a management-quota misadventure. Amity Online’s BBA requires no entrance exam, costs about Rs 1,65,000 in total per its own fee page, and the university states the degree is “legally equivalent to a regular campus degree”. Check any online programme’s UGC entitlement status before paying.

Process, documents, and the timeline myth

The genuine no-exam process everywhere is short: apply on the university’s own portal, submit Class 10 and 12 marksheets, sit the college’s test and/or interview, accept the offer, pay the fee to the university against a receipt. Keep your transfer certificate, migration certificate, ID proof and photographs ready.

Agent sites claim direct admission “starts in May and ends by mid-August, once a year”. False. Amity’s official FAQ says its cycle opens in January or February, private NCR universities run rolling rounds through the summer, and IPU counselling follows its own CET calendar published on ipu.ac.in. Late rounds exist, but popular specialisations fill early, so apply against the college’s current notice, not a consultancy’s countdown timer.
