Didn't Clear IPMAT 2026? Every Strong BBA Route Still Open

Short answer: you have not run out of good BBA options. As of 7 July 2026, DU’s CUET-based CSAS Phase II is live, Chandigarh University’s CUCET Phase II is open till 15 July, Amity’s Bengaluru campus lists 11 July as its last date, Shiv Nadar’s test cycles run into July, and several universities still admit on Class 12 marks alone.

What you have run out of is time for wishful thinking. The IIM undergraduate routes for 2026 are closed, and so are NPAT, SET and Christ. Our direct BBA admission guide carries the full verified list of no-exam and own-test routes; this post is the July status board for students who pinned their year on IPMAT.

First, be precise about what “missed IPMAT” means

The advice differs by case, and most articles blur all three.

  • You never applied. IIM Indore’s window ran 2 February to 14 March 2026, so this year’s IPM is simply out of reach. Your options are the open routes below, or IPMAT 2027.
  • You sat the exam and scored low. IIM Indore shortlists only candidates with a positive raw score and a minimum mark in each of the three sections, then weighs the final decision 65 percent aptitude test and 35 percent interview Source: IIM Indore admission procedure. No call by now means this cycle is over for you.
  • You interviewed but got waitlisted out. Waitlist movement happens among candidates already in the process. Nobody can add you to it in July, whatever an agent claims.

One more thing worth knowing: IIM Indore publishes no marks-versus-percentile table and no “safe score” bands. Every such table you see on coaching sites is an estimate, and some are visibly broken.

What is genuinely closed, with dates

Closing this list out matters, because each of these is still being sold by consultants as “possible with the right contact”.

  • IIM Bangalore BBA (DBE): the one IIM route that genuinely ran late into 2026, and its official page now says applications are closed. If you registered before the deadline, your admission test is ahead of you. If you did not, there is no side entry.
  • NPAT: NMIMS closed registrations for all UG programmes on 26 May 2026, per its own announcement.
  • SET: registration closed 15 April, tests were held 2 and 10 May, results came 20 May. Symbiosis has published no later round, and our Symbiosis direct admission guide explains why no agent can route around SET.
  • Christ University: the third and final selection process closed for applications on 3 May 2026, with the last selection list out on 15 May.
  • JIPMAT: the NTA exam was held on 7 June. IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya now run separate post-result rounds on their own portals. If you sat JIPMAT, register your interest there directly and track both sites, since there is no common counselling. If you did not sit it, this door is shut for 2026.

Still open, route one: your CUET score and DU

If you appeared for CUET UG 2026, you are holding a live ticket. Results are out, and Delhi University’s CSAS Phase II is running on the official portal right now, with the first allocation list expected mid July per the schedule published on admission.uod.ac.in.

This is the honest answer to “how do I get into SSCBS”: its BMS seats fill through CUET plus CSAS preference filling, nothing else. DU’s BMS and BBA (FIA) programmes at government-fee levels are arguably the best value BBA seats in the country. Fill preferences widely and act on each allocation deadline; missed acceptance windows are how good scores go to waste.

If you skipped CUET too, this route is closed, and route two is your lane.

Still open, route two: universities accepting applications this week

Verified on official pages today:

  • Chandigarh University: CUCET Phase II registration ends 15 July 2026. Students above 90 percent in Class 12 are exempted from the test entirely, per the university’s own FAQ.
  • Amity University: application portal open; the Bengaluru campus lists 11 July 2026 as its last date to apply, and other campuses publish their own dates. See how it compares with its neighbours in our BBA colleges in Bangalore guide.
  • Shiv Nadar University BMS: home-proctored SNUSAT cycles run into July 2026. Confirm the current cycle on the official application portal before paying.
  • Class 12 merit routes: SRM (50 percent aggregate in Higher Secondary) and Bennett (Class 12 merit) accept direct applications, and Sharda, LPU, GITAM and Jain run their own accessible tests. Windows change weekly in July, so treat each college’s own notice as the only truth.

On fees: we quote no aggregator numbers. Every fee we could verify on an official page sits in the fee table of our direct BBA admission guide; for colleges not listed there, the college publishes its fee on its own admissions page, and that is the figure to trust.

A note on the “IPMAT-score colleges” lists doing the rounds: Nirma, NALSAR, TAPMI, NICMAR and IFMR-Krea do accept IPMAT scores, but their 2026 application rounds largely closed in May and June. If one reopens a round, it will say so on its own site, not in a consultant’s WhatsApp forward.

What agents won’t tell you Every route in this post is an open, published process. That is exactly why July is peak season for the other kind of offer: “IIM waitlist seat through our contact”, “NMIMS merit list entry”, “management quota BBA at Christ”. NMIMS itself closed all UG registrations on 26 May and states there is no management quota for any programme. Christ’s final list came out on 15 May. No IIM sells seats, in any month. If someone asks for money to “block” any of these, you are not buying a seat, you are funding a fraud. Our guide on whether management quota is legal covers what the law actually says.

Five claims circulating this week that are simply wrong

We checked these against official pages today, because they appear on high-ranking articles for this exact search.

  1. “SRCC is a top BBA college.” SRCC’s own site lists two undergraduate courses: B.Com (Hons) and B.A. (Hons) Economics. There is no BBA.
  2. “SSCBS offers merit-based direct admission.” SSCBS BMS admits through CUET UG and DU’s CSAS. No Class 12 merit route exists.
  3. “IIM Visakhapatnam has an IPM.” Its programme list runs from PhD to executive MBA. No undergraduate programme exists there.
  4. “IPMAT is conducted by NTA.” IIM Indore conducts its own test through its own portal. NTA conducts JIPMAT. Different exams, different colleges.
  5. “Born on or after 1 August 2004 to be eligible.” IIM Indore’s official 2026 procedure says born on or after 1 August 2006, with five years’ relaxation for SC, ST and PwD candidates. If you are reading eligibility off a consultancy blog, you may be reading a stale cycle.

The drop year question, answered honestly

IIM Indore’s 2026 procedure accepted candidates who passed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025, so a drop year does not disqualify you from IPMAT 2027. Whether it is wise is a different question. A repeat makes sense if you sat the 2026 exam, landed near the interview shortlist, and can name exactly what a year of preparation would fix. It rarely makes sense if you never crossed the sectional minimums, because a BBA at a strong college now, followed by CAT in your final year, reaches the same IIM classroom with less risk. See our BBA entrance exams compared guide before you commit either way.

What to do this week

The open windows above are real but short: 11 July at Amity Bengaluru, 15 July at CUCET, allocation deadlines inside DU’s CSAS calendar. Message us on WhatsApp with your Class 12 marks, city and budget, and ask which of these routes is genuinely open for your profile. The answer is free, and if the honest answer is “wait for 2027”, that is the answer you will get.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Can I still apply for BBA after missing IPMAT 2026?
Yes. As of 7 July 2026, Chandigarh University's CUCET Phase II is open till 15 July, Amity's Bengaluru campus lists 11 July as its last date, Shiv Nadar's SNUSAT cycles run into July, and several universities admit on Class 12 marks alone. If you sat CUET UG, DU's CSAS Phase II is also live.
Which BBA admissions are still open in July 2026?
Verified on official pages on 7 July 2026: DU CSAS Phase II (needs a CUET UG score), CUCET Phase II till 15 July, Amity University (Bengaluru last date 11 July), and Shiv Nadar University's BMS cycles. Direct Class 12 merit routes at universities like SRM and Bennett also run into July; confirm each on the college's own site.
Can I get into an IIM without clearing IPMAT 2026?
Not this year, unless you sat JIPMAT on 7 June, in which case IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya run their own post-result admission rounds. IIM Bangalore's BBA (DBE) applications for 2026 are closed. Otherwise your IIM routes are IPMAT or JIPMAT 2027, or CAT after a regular BBA.
Is NPAT 2026 still open?
No. NMIMS closed registrations for all UG programmes for 2026-27, including NPAT, on 26 May 2026, per its official announcement. Any consultant offering NMIMS BBA admission in July is offering something the university itself says does not exist.
Does SRCC offer a BBA?
No. SRCC's own website lists exactly two undergraduate courses: B.Com (Hons) and B.A. (Hons) Economics. Lists that name SRCC as a top BBA college are wrong.
Should I take a drop year to retake IPMAT?
Eligibility allows it: IIM Indore's 2026 procedure accepted candidates who passed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025, so one drop does not disqualify you. It makes sense only if you were close to the cutoff and can commit a focused year. Joining a good BBA now and taking CAT later is usually the safer path.
Can I still do an MBA at an IIM after a regular BBA?
Yes. IPM is one door to an IIM, not the only one. A three-year BBA followed by CAT puts every IIM's two-year MBA within reach, and you compete with a graduate profile rather than a Class 12 one.
