Jain CMS MBA Fees in 2026: What Is Actually Published, and What Is Not
The only published fee for Jain CMS Bangalore's MBA in 2026 is the Rs 1,500 application fee. What tuition is not published, and what that means for you.
The short answer
As of July 2026, the only fee JAIN's CMS Business School publishes for its MBA is the Rs 1,500 application fee (CMS Business School FAQ). No tuition figure appears on any official page; the FAQ directs fee queries to the Admissions Office at +91 7337620222. Scholarships do not apply to the MBA, and the school states it has no management quota.
Most fee pages for CMS Business School quote a confident lakh figure. Here is the uncomfortable, verifiable truth: as of July 2026, no MBA tuition figure appears anywhere on the official Jain University or CMS Business School websites. This page lists every fee figure the institution actually publishes, names the source for each, and tells you exactly how to get the real number, and what it means if anyone quotes you a figure above it.
What is the published fee for the Jain CMS MBA in 2026?
The only fee figure published on any official page is the application fee: Rs 1,500 (2026 admissions cycle, CMS Business School FAQ, which states “The application fee is INR 1500”). It is paid with the online application on jainuniversity.ac.in or bschool.cms.ac.in and is separate from tuition.
For context, this is what the fee attaches to. The program is a two-year, four-semester full-time MBA at CMS Business School on Sheshadri Road, Bengaluru, offered with eleven single specialisations and six dual specialisations (Jain University MBA Admission 2026 page). Jain is a deemed-to-be university, NAAC-accredited A++ with a CGPA of 3.71 (Jain University homepage), and the CMS FAQ states the school is UGC and AICTE approved, so the degree is an MBA of the university, not a PGDM.
Admission is through JET, the university’s own process of written test, essay, presentation and personal interview, with published written-test exemptions such as MAT 550 or above and NMAT 160 or above (Jain University JET MBA page). The full process is covered in the Jain CMS MBA selection process guide. For the 2026-28 cycle, the published schedule closed applications on 31 March 2026 with final results on 15 April 2026 (Jain University MBA Admission 2026 page); as of 13 July 2026, dates for the next cycle are yet to be announced on the official pages.
What is NOT published, and how do you get the real number?
Tuition. The total program fee for the MBA is not published on the official Jain University site or the CMS Business School site. The B-school’s own FAQ says it plainly: “For information related to fees for the MBA program, please get in touch with the Admissions Office at +91 7337620222.” The MBA admission page gives the same number with a WhatsApp option. Confirm the current figure on the official MBA admission page and get it from the Admissions Office in writing.
Two things worth knowing when you make that call.
First, installments exist. The CMS FAQ answers “Do you provide installments to pay the fee?” with “Yes, we do.” The split and schedule are not published, so ask for both in writing along with the fee itself.
Second, third-party portals do print tuition figures for this program. None of those figures appears on any official page as of July 2026, so we do not carry them. A number you cannot trace to the college is a number you cannot hold the college to. When you get the official figure, ask for the complete break-up: tuition per year, any one-time charges, hostel if you need it, and the refund rule. A college quoting a single bundled number over the phone should be asked to put the same number on paper.
Are there scholarships on the Jain CMS MBA?
At the B-school level, no. The CMS Business School FAQ states: “Since the admission process is only through merit, scholarships do not apply here.” That is unusually direct, and it is worth taking at face value. If a consultant tells you they can arrange a “special scholarship” on this MBA, they are describing something the school itself says does not exist.
At the university level, Jain publishes two scholarship categories for its own students, academic and sports talent, awarded on merit through the JAIN University Scholarship Committee (Jain University scholarship page). No MBA-specific amounts or seat counts are published there. If a university-level award matters to your budget, raise it with the Admissions Office on the same call as the fee question, and ask what, if anything, has ever been awarded to an MBA student under it.
What does any figure above the published fee mean?
It means capitation, and at this particular school the ground is unusually firm, because the university has already answered the quota question in writing. The official JET MBA FAQ states: “No, CMS Business School doesn’t offer admissions based on management quota, hence JET is mandatory.” The same FAQ adds that the university has no affiliates, consultants or brokers for admissions, and the CMS B-school FAQ repeats the no-quota answer.
So the arithmetic is simple. Every seat is filled through JET on merit. There is no quota seat to buy, no agent authorised to sell one, and no published fee tier above the regular one. Any “package” quoted for this MBA above the fee the Admissions Office states is a payment for nothing, and demanding money beyond sanctioned fees is a criminal offence under the Karnataka Educational Institutions (Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1984, which carries three to seven years of imprisonment plus fine. The unpublished tuition figure is exactly the gap an agent exploits: when the official number is not on a public page, an inflated one is easy to invent. Close that gap yourself with one phone call to the Admissions Office before you speak to anyone else.
The wider rules, which states have a legal management quota, what the regulated fees look like, and the red flags that mean walk away, are in our guides to management quota MBA admission and whether management quota is legal. For how Jain’s own-process route compares with the rest of the city, see the Bangalore MBA guide and the Jain University direct admission guide.
