WeSchool PGDM Fees in 2026: Mumbai and Bengaluru, Sourced

WeSchool is more transparent about money than most private B-schools: the official PGDM pages print actual rupee figures for tuition, deposits and hostel. But the figures come with an asterisk, an FAQ on the same page that lags behind them, and an application fee that hides behind a portal login. This page lays out every published number with its source, names exactly what is not published, and explains what any demand above these figures legally means.

One note on verification. During our July 2026 checks, welingkar.org was intermittently unreachable, so the campus-page figures below are as displayed on the official Mumbai and Bengaluru PGDM pages in April 2026, during the 2026-28 admission cycle; the entrance-cutoff PDF on the application subdomain was verified live. Reconfirm on the official Mumbai PGDM page before you pay anything.

What is the published WeSchool PGDM fee?

Rs 7,50,000 per annum, described as “tuition fees & other”, at both campuses. That is the figure on the official welingkar.org PGDM pages for Mumbai and Bengaluru as displayed in April 2026, in each case marked subject to change. The PGDM is a two-year programme, so budget against roughly Rs 15 lakh of tuition across the course, before hostel and deposits.

The Bengaluru hostel line changes the arithmetic for that campus. The official Bengaluru page states hostel accommodation is mandatory for its students, so the realistic Bengaluru outlay is tuition plus Rs 1,70,000 of hostel every year, not tuition alone. At Mumbai, hostel is subject to availability, so factor Mumbai rent into your budget if you do not get a room.

One discrepancy worth knowing, because it is the kind of gap agents exploit. The Mumbai page’s fee block says Rs 7,50,000 per annum, while the FAQ section of the same page still says Rs 7,00,000 per annum. The fee block is the more current figure, but the official page itself carries two numbers, and the binding figure is whatever the institute puts in writing at admission.

For context on what the fee buys: the flagship PGDM has a present intake of 180 at Mumbai (programme started 1994) and 60 at Bengaluru (started 2009), per the official campus pages, and the AIU letter dated 12 March 2026 hosted on welingkar.org accords the Mumbai two-year full-time PGDM equivalence with the MBA degree from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2030, conditional on AICTE and NBA/SAQS approvals remaining valid. What has WeSchool not published?

The batch year on the fee block, the application fee, and a consolidated cost sheet — three gaps a careful applicant should notice.

The batch year on the fee block. The Rs 7,50,000 figure carries no batch-year tag on either campus page. It is the figure displayed during the 2026-28 cycle, marked subject to change, and nothing on the page binds it to the 2026-28 batch specifically. Treat it as the institute’s reference point and confirm the exact batch fee in writing at admission.

The application fee. No accessible official page publishes it; the amount sits behind the login of the PGDM 2026-28 application portal. Confirm the current amount on the portal itself, and pay it only there. Any third party quoting you an application charge plus a “service” margin is adding a margin, nothing else.

An all-in cost sheet. The pages publish tuition, deposits and hostel, but no consolidated per-installment schedule. Ask the admissions office for the full payment schedule in writing before you accept an offer, so the number you plan against is the number you pay.

What is published, and verified live from the official application subdomain, is the entry gate: the 2026-28 entrance-test cutoff PDF lists CAT 2025, XAT 2026, GMAT (2023 onwards), ATMA February 2026 and CMAT 2026, with shortlisting cutoffs of 80 percentile (CAT/XAT/GMAT) or 85 percentile (ATMA/CMAT) for the flagship Mumbai group and 75 or 80 for Bengaluru. What scholarships and fee support does WeSchool publish?

One named scheme, the Tuition Fee Waiver, plus an education-loan arrangement, both on the official campus pages.

The Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme covers seats up to a maximum of 5 percent of sanctioned intake per course. The published criteria: the parents’ annual income from all sources must not exceed Rs 8 lakh, evidenced by a Tehsildar income certificate valid till March 2026. The waiver is limited to the tuition fee only, and no course or campus change is allowed under it. The scheme is published identically on both campus pages. Five percent of intake is a narrow gate, roughly 9 seats against Mumbai’s flagship intake of 180, so treat TFW as real support for candidates who genuinely meet the income criterion, not a general discount.

On education loans, the Mumbai page states the institute has partnered with a financial institution to help students avail loans at reasonable rates. No other named scholarship schemes appear on the PGDM pages we accessed.

What does any figure above the published fee mean?

It means capitation or fraud, because WeSchool publishes no route that money above the fee can buy. The official PGDM page states plainly that admissions are based on merit only, with no discrimination by state and no reservations for linguistic minorities. And as an AICTE-approved standalone PGDM institute, WeSchool falls under Appendix-9 of the AICTE Approval Process Handbook, which requires every seat to be filled from entrance-exam qualifiers strictly on the basis of merit. There is no exam-free PGDM seat here, and no published management quota.

Two details agents lean on, and what they actually are. First, the institute’s own site archives show a one-off “Institute Level Seats” vacancy round for the PGDM 2021-23 batch, a four-day application window in July 2021. Nothing equivalent is published for the current cycle, and even that round was the institute’s own advertised process, not a broker’s channel. Second, the Mumbai campus also runs an MMS programme under the University of Mumbai and the state CAP regime, which does have DTE-governed institutional-quota notices. That is a different degree, a different regulator and a different fee structure. An agent quoting “Welingkar management quota” is usually blurring the MMS route into the PGDM, or inventing a channel outright.

The legal line runs the same in both campus cities. Maharashtra’s Prohibition of Capitation Fee Act, 1987 makes any payment beyond sanctioned fees an offence carrying imprisonment and refund of the amount collected; Karnataka’s 1984 Act punishes capitation with 3 to 7 years’ imprisonment plus fine. Promises of a certain seat at WeSchool for a premium are the signature of a scam, not a service. Pay only the institute, only against the published fee structure, only with a receipt.
