Is there a management quota here?
Chitkara's official MBA page publishes exactly one admission route: a recognised national test or the university's own test, then group discussions and a personal interview, against a printed four-semester fee table. No management-quota percentage or paid-seat row appears on the page we opened on 4 September 2026. The university's own test is the honest version of the 'direct admission' question here — a published exam anyone can sit, not a seat anyone can buy. An agent quoting a Chitkara seat at a price that differs from the printed Rs 9,00,000 table is contradicting the school's own page.
Chitkara Business School is the tricity’s always-open door. Five national tests work; if you hold none, the university’s own test does — and everyone, on every route, faces the same group discussions and personal interview. The fee table is printed to the semester: Rs 2,25,000 four times, Rs 9,00,000 in all. There is nothing hidden to negotiate, which is the whole point of publishing it.
What should an applicant plan for?
The bar is a bachelor’s degree at 50%, with final-year students welcome on their previous year’s marks. The structure is worth noting: four semesters, a module system of two subjects each, and a ten-credit Minor in Artificial Intelligence in Business folded into every specialisation at no extra line on the fee table — the school’s explicit employability play. Specialisations run wide, from marketing and finance to rural management and pharmaceutical management, with an EY India collaboration on the data-science variant.
The location deserves an honest line. The campus sits at Rajpura on the Chandigarh-Patiala highway, about 30 kilometres out of Chandigarh — inside the tricity’s daily orbit, and the reason the region’s private-university choice is genuinely three-way.
