The short answer
As of July 2026, BIMTECH's regular two-year PGDM route uses CAT, XAT, GMAT or CMAT, academic history, extempore and personal interview. The published tuition for the 2026–28 core PGDM is Rs 14,00,000; refundable security, hostel and mess are additional. BIMTECH says the programme is residential and explicitly rejects direct or broker-led admission.
Selection process
- Apply on BIMTECH's official portal with an eligible CAT, XAT, GMAT or CMAT result for the core PGDM.
- The institute shortlists using the entrance result and past academic record.
- Shortlisted applicants complete an extempore and personal interview.
- The final offer uses a composite of the published selection components; minimum eligibility does not guarantee a shortlist or offer.

Is there a management quota here?
BIMTECH says it does not offer direct admission and does not authorise offline brokers, agents or consultants for seat filling. Its regular merit route uses recognised management entrance tests and the official selection process. The separately published supernumerary category is for specified international-status applicants; it is not a paid bypass for regular Indian applicants.
BIMTECH’s core PGDM is a merit route with a lower published tuition headline than the other three schools in this comparison set. That does not make it an exam-free option. The institute publishes accepted entrance tests, academic-history shortlisting, an extempore and a personal interview, then forms a composite score for the final offer.
What is included in the published fee?
The Rs 14,00,000 figure is tuition for the full core PGDM. It is not the complete residential cost. BIMTECH states that refundable security, hostel and mess are additional, and it also says all programmes are residential. Compare an offer using tuition plus the current official accommodation and mess schedule, not tuition alone.
What is the supernumerary category?
BIMTECH lists supernumerary seats for specified People of Indian Origin, foreign-national, SAARC, Gulf and Overseas Citizen of India applicants. The regular Indian merit route remains the entrance-test and selection route above. Do not let anyone re-label the international-status category as an open “management” route: the institute’s own warning says direct-admission and broker claims are fraudulent.
Where does BIMTECH fit in the four-school shortlist?
BIMTECH deserves attention when the candidate has an accepted score, is comfortable with a compulsory residential experience, and values the difference between its published tuition and the higher academic or programme figures at IMI and FORE. The real cost gap narrows after accommodation and mess are added, so use the same cost boundary for every offer. Our four-school comparison sets out those boundaries and the selection differences.
How Udaan helps with BIMTECH
Udaan checks whether the core PGDM route fits the score and profile, prepares the extempore and interview, and builds a like-for-like cost sheet once the official hostel category is known. Applications and payments stay with BIMTECH. We will not introduce an agent route that the institute itself tells applicants to reject.
