The short answer
As of July 2026, IMT Ghaziabad admits to its two-year residential PGDM through CAT, XAT or GMAT, followed by an offline Critical Thinking and Personal Interview process. IMT says there is no sectional cut-off for CTPI and no management or institutional quota. Check the current programme fee only on IMT's linked official schedule.
Selection process
- Submit IMT's common application, campus and programme preferences, supporting documents, and a valid CAT, XAT or GMAT score.
- IMT reviews the full profile, including school and graduation records, entrance performance, and relevant work, professional or entrepreneurial experience.
- Shortlisted applicants attend the offline Critical Thinking and Personal Interview process; IMT says there is no sectional cut-off for this shortlist.
- The final composite considers academics, diversity, experience, CTPI performance and the entrance score.

Is there a management quota here?
No. IMT's admissions FAQ says the process is entirely merit-based and that there is no management or institutional quota. The same FAQ says the PGDM is residential and every admitted student must stay on campus. Treat any paid bypass or off-process seat promise as inconsistent with the institute's published rules.
IMT Ghaziabad is a selective PGDM route, not a direct-admission option. The entrance score opens the process, but the institute’s published shortlist is broader than a single percentile: school and graduation consistency, the quality of relevant experience, professional qualifications and entrepreneurship can all contribute. IMT also states that there is no sectional cut-off for the CTPI shortlist. That makes profile quality important, but it does not make the route exam-free.
What should an applicant plan for?
Start by choosing the right exam. IMT Ghaziabad accepts CAT, XAT and GMAT for this cycle; CMAT belongs only to the Nagpur route. The next stage is offline, so travel to an allotted CTPI centre must be part of the plan. Prepare separately for the Critical Thinking component and the interview rather than treating the call as a conventional interview alone.
The programme is residential. IMT says every student must live on campus, so compare its official programme schedule as an on-campus commitment, not just a tuition headline. The current fee page links a dedicated 2026–28 schedule; because that PDF could not be reliably read during our July check, this page sends you to the official document instead of repeating an unverified number.
Where does IMT fit in a Delhi NCR shortlist?
IMT fits applicants who have a competitive CAT, XAT or GMAT result and can show a coherent academic and professional story. It is not a fallback for someone who missed every accepted exam, and it has no paid alternate route. Before deciding, compare its residential format and holistic CTPI with IMI Delhi’s essay-and-interview assessment, FORE’s published merit process and BIMTECH’s lower published tuition figure plus mandatory hostel costs in our four-school Delhi NCR comparison.
How Udaan helps with IMT Ghaziabad
Udaan helps applicants decide whether IMT belongs on the shortlist, present the application consistently, and prepare for both parts of CTPI. We also pressure-test the total budget against the other live offers rather than comparing unlike fee headlines. Applications and college payments stay on the institute’s official channels; no counsellor can create a quota that IMT itself says does not exist.
