Is there a management quota here?
No management or institute-level quota is published for the PGDM. As an AICTE-approved standalone PGDM institute, Welingkar must fill every seat from qualifiers of CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT or GMAT (or a state CET) strictly on merit under Appendix-9 of the AICTE Approval Process Handbook. The institute's own site archive shows one Institute Level Seats vacancy round for the PGDM 2021-23 batch — a four-day advertised window in July 2021 — and nothing equivalent for the current cycle. The Mumbai campus's separate MMS programme (University of Mumbai, state CAP) does carry DTE-governed institutional-quota notices; an agent quoting a 'Welingkar management quota' is usually blurring that MMS route into the PGDM. Maharashtra's 1987 Act makes any payment above sanctioned fees a criminal offence.

It remains a diploma in form — the equivalence letter is what employers and universities read.
- Does Welingkar offer scholarships?
- One published scheme: the Tuition Fee Waiver covers up to 5% of sanctioned intake per course for candidates whose parents' annual income does not exceed Rs 8 lakh, evidenced by a Tehsildar income certificate; the waiver applies to tuition only, with no course or campus change allowed under it.
