GITAM Bengaluru MBA Fees in 2026: Both Published Figures, Sourced
GITAM Bengaluru MBA fees, sourced: Rs 3,87,000 year one on the live programme page, Rs 4,18,300 on the fee-structure page's latest capture, scholarship facts.
The short answer
As of August 2026, GITAM's two official pages still disagree on the Bengaluru MBA fee: the programme page, opened live on 22 August 2026, states Rs 3,87,000 for year one and Rs 4,06,300 for year two; the fee-structure page refused to open today, and its latest accessible capture shows Rs 4,18,300 and Rs 4,26,600. No management quota fee is published anywhere.
Ask an agent what the GITAM Bengaluru MBA costs and you will get one confident number. Ask GITAM and you get two, because the university’s own pages currently disagree with each other. This page puts both official figures side by side, names the page behind each one, covers the published scholarship maths, and states plainly what GITAM has not published, including anything at all about a management quota.
What is the published GITAM Bengaluru MBA fee?
There are two official answers, and they still do not match.
The current live figure comes from the MBA programme page at programmes.gitam.edu, opened on 22 August 2026 under its banner for the 2026 MBA intake: the “Program & University fee per campus” FAQ states the Bengaluru fee as Rs 3,87,000 for the first year and Rs 4,06,300 for the second year.
The second comes from the fee-structure page on gitam.edu. That page refused to open for us on 22 August 2026; its latest accessible capture (Internet Archive, 28 October 2025) lists the Master of Business Administration at Rs 4,18,300 for the 2025 year and Rs 4,26,600 for the 2026 year.
| Official page | Year 1 | Year 2 |
|---|---|---|
| MBA programme page FAQ, 2026 intake (opened live 22 August 2026) | Rs 3,87,000 | Rs 4,06,300 |
| GITAM fee-structure page, Bengaluru filter (latest accessible capture, 28 October 2025) | Rs 4,18,300 (2025 year) | Rs 4,26,600 (2026 year) |
Both pages sit on official GITAM domains. The year-one gap is about Rs 31,000, and the university publishes no note reconciling the two. That is not a scandal; universities do leave stale or differently-scoped figures on parallel pages. But it changes how you should use the numbers. Budget against the higher set, and treat the figure printed in your own admission paperwork, checked against the official fee-structure page, as the only one that binds anybody.
For context on what the fee buys: this is the two-year full-time MBA at GITAM School of Business, Bengaluru campus (GITAM MBA programme page), with a sanctioned intake of 120 per the AICTE Extension of Approval for 2022-23, the latest such document published on the university domain.
What has GITAM not published?
Three things that matter to your budget.
First, a single reconciled fee. As shown above, the two official pages disagree on year one by roughly Rs 31,000. There is no published document that resolves the conflict, so any site quoting one clean “GITAM Bengaluru MBA total fee” has picked a number for you without telling you it made a choice.
Second, a clearly dated application fee. GITAM’s FAQ page mentions an application fee of Rs 1,200 for candidates applying through the GAT route, but it states no admission cycle next to that amount, so we do not treat it as a confirmed current figure. Confirm the amount on the official FAQs page when you apply.
Third, and most important: anything about a management quota. GITAM’s FAQs, admissions pages and scholarship pages contain no mention of a management quota, a donation route or any payment beyond the published fee. A site-restricted search of the university’s pages on 13 July 2026 returned nothing either. The institution is simply silent, so the honest answer is “not published”. We do not infer a quota from silence, and neither should you. GITAM is a deemed to be university (MBA programme page), it publishes a merit process built on GBAT or accepted national and state scores, and that process is the only route its own pages describe. The stages are covered in our GITAM Bengaluru MBA selection process guide.
What scholarships does GITAM publish for the MBA?
A headline promise on the live page, with the fine print last read in July.
The MBA programme page, opened live on 22 August 2026, advertises “scholarships up to 100%” based on CAT, MAT, NMAT, CMAT, GMAT or SNAP scores — covering tuition, food and accommodation — and states that nearly 40% of students earned merit scholarships. The detailed slab table we recorded on 13 July 2026 (bands of 15%, 25%, 40%, 60%, 75% and 100% mapped to GBAT, CAT/XAT/GMAT, MAT, NMAT, CMAT, SNAP and AP/TS ICET scores) no longer appears on the live page, so the exact bands are a dated record, not a current promise. Ask the admissions office for the current slab table in writing.
The policy fine print below comes from GITAM’s student-scholarships policy as last read live on 13 July 2026; that page refused to open on 22 August 2026, so treat these rules as the last confirmed version and re-confirm them: scholarship admissions were capped at 30% of sanctioned intake for the MBA, allotted first-come-first-served, with the 100%, 75% and 60% slabs exempt from the waitlist cap; a need-based one-slab upgrade applied within stated parental-income tiers; and the entrance-based scholarship was valid for the first year only, renewing at a CGPA of 8.0 or higher and dropping one slab at 7.5-7.99. Plan your budget assuming full fee in year two; let renewal be a bonus you earn, not a number you owe.
What does any figure above the published fee mean?
It means you have left the university’s process, because GITAM publishes no price above the fee structure and no quota to attach one to.
The arithmetic is short. GITAM’s published costs for the Bengaluru MBA are the fee figures above, minus any scholarship slab you qualify for under the published table. Every route in runs through GBAT or an accepted exam score, then the extempore and counselling rounds (GITAM MBA programme page). There is no published seat category that carries a premium, so a “package” quoted above the published fee is not a faster door. It is either capitation, which Karnataka’s Educational Institutions (Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1984 makes a criminal offence punishable with three to seven years’ imprisonment, or plain fraud built on a quota no GITAM page mentions. Promises of a certain seat are the signature of the scam, not a service.
The two-layer test from our management quota MBA guide applies cleanly here. Layer one is what exists: a deemed university’s published merit process at published fees. Layer two is what agents claim: a negotiable quota with an unpublished rate card. Where Karnataka law does create a legal management share, in private affiliated colleges through KMAT, the fees are still regulated and published; that layer is explained in our Karnataka KMAT guide. GITAM is not in that layer. Pay only GITAM, only against its published fee structure, only with a receipt. The wider legal frame is in Is management quota legal in India?
How does Udaan help with GITAM Bengaluru fees?
We keep you inside the published numbers, starting with the awkward fact that there are two sets of them. Udaan helps you put both official figures in front of the admissions office and get the binding one in writing, time your application against the scholarship rules as currently published, and pick the exam route, GBAT or a national score, that maximises your slab under the published table. We take no commissions from any college; every rupee of fees goes from you to GITAM directly, against its own fee structure and a receipt. And if the numbers and your budget do not meet, we will say so plainly and show you what else in Bangalore’s MBA landscape fits, including the answer “none of these”, if that is the true one. Start at our contact page.
All figures on this page carry their year and source inline. GITAM’s own pages conflict on the first-year fee, so confirm the current figure on the official fee-structure page and in your own admission paperwork before paying anything.

- What is the GITAM Bengaluru MBA fee for 2026?
- GITAM publishes two figures that do not reconcile. The MBA programme page, opened live on 22 August 2026, states a Bengaluru fee of Rs 3,87,000 for the first year and Rs 4,06,300 for the second. The fee-structure page refused to open for us on the same day; its latest accessible capture (28 October 2025) lists the MBA at Rs 4,18,300 for the 2025 year and Rs 4,26,600 for the 2026 year. Confirm the figure in your own offer paperwork before paying.
- Why do GITAM's own pages show two different MBA fees?
- The university has not explained the difference, and the gap has persisted across our checks of 13 July and 22 August 2026. Both pages are official: programmes.gitam.edu/mba carries year-wise figures under a 2026-intake banner, while gitam.edu's fee-structure page carries its own year-wise table. Until GITAM reconciles them, budget against the higher set and verify the exact amount with the admissions office in writing.
- Does GITAM Bengaluru have a management quota for the MBA?
- GITAM publishes nothing about a management quota. Its FAQs, admissions and scholarship pages contain no mention of a quota, donation or capitation route, so the honest answer is 'not published', not 'yes'. GITAM is a deemed university, admission runs through GBAT or accepted national and state exam scores, and anyone selling a paid seat in its name is selling something no official page describes.
- Can I get a 100% scholarship on the GITAM Bengaluru MBA?
- GITAM's live programme page, opened 22 August 2026, advertises 'scholarships up to 100%' based on CAT, MAT, NMAT, CMAT, GMAT or SNAP scores, covering tuition, food and accommodation, and says nearly 40% of students earned merit scholarships. The detailed slab table we recorded on 13 July 2026 (100% at a GBAT aggregate of 85-100 or a CAT/XAT/GMAT percentile of 90-100) no longer appears on the live page, so treat the exact bands as dated and confirm the current table with the admissions office before counting on a slab.
- Is the GITAM scholarship valid for both MBA years?
- Not automatically, per the policy as last read live on 13 July 2026: the entrance-based scholarship was valid for the first year only, continuing at a CGPA of 8.0 or higher and dropping one slab between 7.5 and 7.99. The policy page refused to open on 22 August 2026, so re-confirm the renewal rule on the official scholarships page before budgeting. Plan year two at full fee and treat renewal as something you earn.
- How many MBA seats does GITAM Bengaluru have?
- 120, per the AICTE Extension of Approval for GITAM Off Campus Bengaluru for 2022-23, the latest approval document published on the university domain. That sanctioned intake is the ceiling the scholarship cap is calculated against; confirm the current intake with the admissions office since newer approval letters may exist offline.
