MAT December 2026: The Official Schedule Is Out — PBT Closes 14 December, CBT 21 December

MAT December 2026's official schedule is printed on AIMA's page: paper-test registration closes 14 December, computer-test 21 December, fee Rs 2,300.

The short answer

As of 4 October 2026, AIMA has printed the MAT December 2026 schedule: paper-test registration closes 14 December (test 20 December), computer-test registration closes 21 December (test 27 December), admit cards 17 and 24 December. The fee is Rs 2,300 per mode, Rs 4,000 for both. Scores are promised on the mat.aima.in dashboard by the first week of January 2027.

After thirteen consecutive daily checks found nothing, AIMA has printed the MAT December 2026 candidate schedule — quietly, on the same page that still carries a stale September 2025 block and no September 2026 score notice. If MAT is your re-entry route into the 2027 admission cycle, this is the session that matters: paper test 20 December 2026, computer test 27 December 2026, registration closing 14 and 21 December respectively.

The fee is Rs 2,300 for either mode; adding the second mode costs Rs 1,700 more (Rs 4,000 total) and raises the free score-sending from five institutes to seven. Registration is online at mat.aima.in by card, net banking, UPI or Paytm wallet. All figures above are from AIMA’s official MAT page, re-read on 4 October 2026.

What the exam looks like

Unchanged from September: five sections of thirty questions each — Language Comprehension, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Economic and Business Environment — 150 questions over 120 minutes, with a quarter-mark penalty per wrong answer. Graduates in any discipline are eligible, and final-year candidates may apply. The December block prints three modes — PBT, CBT and PBT+CBT — with no home-based IBT line this session; check the registration widget for the final mode menu.

The September score silence, stated plainly

MAT September 2026’s promised score window (“by last week of September”) expired on 30 September with no notice and no score as of today. The content page has now moved on — it prints the December 2026 block beside a stale September 2025 schedule, and the September 2026 block is gone. Scores for September, when they post, will appear on the applicant dashboard at mat.aima.in without ceremony; that dashboard, not the content page, is the announcement channel. The portal itself is intermittent from our host (403 today, serving yesterday) — retry across hours, and ignore anyone selling early access.

Who should register for December

  • September sitters with a weak score — MAT’s four-sessions-a-year cadence is the point: a December re-attempt still lands inside the 2027 admission cycle at hundreds of institutes.
  • CAT 2026 candidates who want a low-cost parallel door — at Rs 2,300, a December MAT is the cheapest insurance policy in the admission calendar, accepted by the verified MAT route map from Christ (MAT 600 bar) to KJ Somaiya, IPE Hyderabad, NDIM and IMDR.
  • Anyone who missed every autumn window — missed-CAT options maps the whole field; December MAT is the widest door still open.

One caution that never changes: no institute sells a MAT seat. Every accepting college on our map admits on its printed process — the score, then its own selection rounds. An agent quoting a “management quota seat against your MAT score” is describing something the institute’s own documents do not contain.

Straight answers

When does MAT December 2026 registration close?
Paper-based test registration closes 14 December 2026 (Monday) and computer-based test registration closes 21 December 2026 (Monday), per AIMA's official MAT page opened on 3 October 2026. Admit cards release 17 December (PBT) and 24 December (CBT) from 5 pm, and the tests sit 20 and 27 December 2026, both Sundays.
What is the MAT December 2026 fee?
Rs 2,300 for either the paper or the computer test, and Rs 4,000 for both modes together (the second mode adds Rs 1,700). Taking both modes also widens the free score-sending from five institutes to seven. Payment is online at mat.aima.in by card, net banking, UPI or Paytm wallet, per the official page.
Is there a home-based (IBT) option in MAT December 2026?
The December block on AIMA's page prints three modes — PBT, CBT and PBT+CBT — with no Remote Proctored IBT line this session. Earlier sessions have offered IBT, so treat the registration widget on mat.aima.in as the final word when you apply; do not plan around a home-based slot that the current schedule does not print.
When will MAT December 2026 scores be declared?
AIMA's printed line now carries a window: 'Availability of MAT December '26 Score on MAT Website: By First week of January 2027' — read on the official page on 4 October 2026. The score lands on the applicant dashboard at mat.aima.in. September 2026's promised window ('by last week of September') expired on 30 September with no notice and no score as of 4 October, so treat the dashboard itself as the announcement channel even with a window printed.
I sat MAT September 2026 — where is my score?
Not posted anywhere public as of 4 October 2026 — five days past the promised window. The content page no longer prints the September 2026 block at all (it shows a stale September 2025 schedule beside the new December 2026 one). Check your applicant dashboard at mat.aima.in directly — scores land there first — and ignore anyone selling early access.
Which colleges accept MAT December 2026 scores?
Hundreds of AICTE-approved institutes do. The verified map with printed bars is on our MBA-through-MAT route page: Christ University asks MAT 600 to apply, Jain CMS waives its own written test at MAT 550, and KJ Somaiya, IPE Hyderabad, NDIM Delhi, IMDR Pune, N. L. Dalmia and the Jaipur map all print MAT routes with their own bars. A December attempt still reaches the 2027 admission cycle at most of them.
