What Changed in MBA Admissions: 12 October 2026
The short answer
On 12 October 2026, IIM Sambalpur's /admission/ page serves again after two days of 404s — still without the flagship MBA fee table. NMIMS's extended 25 October application holds on day two; MAT September scores stay missing on day twelve with AIMA's page steady for the first time in a week; SNAP's promised question bank is five days late.
What changed?
| Item | Before | Now |
|---|---|---|
| IIM Sambalpur — the /admission/ page is BACK, the fee is still not | iimsambalpur.ac.in/admission/ returned 404 on 10 and 11 October, with the flagship MBA 2026-28 fee unpublished anywhere | The URL serves again today and links the MBA 2026-28, MBA-BA and Overseas admission-policy PDFs — but still prints NO fee table, so the honest gap stands: the only signed institute fee on record remains MBA-BA's Rs 17,25,000 (Delhi centre). Any figure an agent quotes for the flagship MBA is unverified until the institute prints |
| NMAT — the extended 25 October window holds, day two | nmat.nmims.edu printed 'Application Extended Till: 25th October 2026' beside a live countdown on 11 October | The portal's raw HTML re-read this morning still prints the extension banner with the countdown live and serves the replacement handout file — thirteen days to the extended close. The handout's internal inconsistency (schedule table 25 October, summary table 10 October) is unchanged; the portal governs. NMIMS still counts only your first NMAT attempt |
| MAT — day twelve, and the page finally holds its shape | AIMA's governing URL had flipped eight times in eleven days, landing on the December 2026 block on 11 October | The content page re-read today prints the SAME December 2026 block a second consecutive day — PBT registration closes 14 December, test 20 December; CBT closes 21 December, test 27 December; scores 'by first week of January 2027' — no ninth flip, and still no September score notice anywhere. Twelve days past the expired promise, the applicant dashboard remains the only channel |
| SNAP — the EMV question bank is five days late | The Ethics, Morality and Values question bank promised for 8 October had not appeared on the public mock page, day four | Day five: /snap-mock re-read this morning still prints the first (24 September) mock's instructions and the snaptest.org homepage carries no EMV block. Registration to 25 November, CBTs 13, 19 and 26 December, result 12 January 2027, 17 institutes, 32 programmes, 79 cities, Rs 2,550 plus Rs 1,000 per programme — all re-confirmed |
| Watches — KMAT day twenty-one; SIMC day eighteen; Welingkar blocked again | KMAT steady with registration to 31 October and test TBA; SIMC's 2027-28 dates unpublished day seventeen | KMAT's two pages still agree this morning — registration to 31 October, test date TBA — with the September result twenty-one days late and kppgca.karnataka.gov.in DNS-unresolved day twenty-one (NXDOMAIN re-confirmed). SIMC's MBA-CM page still prints no date table on day eighteen; the prospectus governs. And welingkar.org's homepage returned a 403 to this host again today — the weekly fee check fails blocked; the fee was never printed |
What should you do now?
- If NMIMS is your target: the extended window closes 25 October 2026 — thirteen days. Complete Step 2 on nmat.nmims.edu (Rs 3,000) on or before the day preceding your NMAT exam date; NMIMS still counts only your first attempt.
- If you sat MAT September: day twelve, no score anywhere, but AIMA's page has stopped oscillating for the first time in a week. Ignore the public pages and check your mat.aima.in applicant dashboard directly.
- If you sat the SNAP Ethics mock: the promised question bank is five days late and still not on the public mock page — watch your registered email, SMS and the mock portal, and do not pay anyone selling 'EMV question banks' on the side.
- If you are weighing IIM Sambalpur: its admissions page is back but the flagship fee is still unpublished — any figure an agent quotes for it is unverified until the institute prints.
- If KMAT is your Karnataka door: registration stays open to 31 October with the test date TBA — both pages agree. The September result is twenty-one days late with the government portal still dark; hold plans loosely.
A broken IIM admissions page came back, an extended deadline held, and one exam page finally stopped oscillating. Here is everything that moved in MBA admissions on 12 October 2026, with the sources above.
IIM Sambalpur’s admissions page is back — the fee is not
After 404ing on both 10 and 11 October, iimsambalpur.ac.in/admission/ serves again today, linking the MBA 2026-28, MBA-BA and Overseas admission-policy PDFs. What it still does not print is the flagship MBA 2026-28 fee table — so the honest gap stands: the only signed institute fee on record remains MBA-BA’s Rs 17,25,000 at the Delhi centre. Our Sambalpur-vs-Rohtak comparison and the Sambalpur profile carry today’s state.
The extended NMIMS window holds
Day two of the extension: nmat.nmims.edu still prints “Application Extended Till: 25th October 2026” beside the live countdown, and still serves the replacement handout whose schedule table agrees while its summary table prints the original 10 October — the portal governs. Thirteen days remain; the first-attempt rule and the no-quota warning stand.
MAT steadies, SNAP’s bank stays missing, KMAT and SIMC stay quiet
Twelve days past its expired score promise, AIMA’s MAT page printed the same December 2026 block for a second consecutive day — the first no-flip day in over a week; September scores remain on the applicant dashboard alone. SNAP’s promised Ethics, Morality and Values question bank is five days late and still off the public mock page. KMAT’s pages still agree — registration to 31 October, test date TBA — with the September result twenty-one days late and the KPPGCA portal dark. SIMC’s own 2027-28 dates stay unpublished on day eighteen; the prospectus governs. Welingkar’s homepage blocked this host again on the weekly fee check — the fee was never printed.
