KMAT Karnataka 2026: MBA Test Sat 20 September, Results Awaited

The MBA paper sat today — results are not yet printed

If you sat KMAT 2026, the MBA paper ran Sunday 20 September 2026, 2 to 4 pm, online and home-proctored over two hours. The official key-dates page, re-opened this morning, now prints the admit card as Tuesday 15 September 2026 and the practice test as 17 and 18 September 2026 — both lines were TBA when we last opened the page on 15 September. Registration ended 6 September 2026. No result date is printed yet; do not pay anyone who claims to know the score before KPPGCA does.

What KMAT actually is

The Karnataka Management Aptitude Test is run by the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association — the body of private MBA/MCA colleges in the state. Its score feeds the management share of seats at member colleges: university-affiliated, AICTE-approved institutions. The homepage counter shows 159 MBA member institutions today; the about paragraph on the same page still says 189. We print both.

Three things KMAT is not:

1. Not a deemed-university door. Christ, Jain, Alliance, GITAM, NMIMS Bangalore — these fill every seat through their own processes. No KMAT score, no route in through the “KMAT quota”, because none exists. Our Bangalore direct-admission page maps which colleges sit on which side of this line.
2. Not a paid shortcut. Seats in the management share are allotted on KMAT merit, at fees published before option entry. Anything above the published fee is capitation — a criminal offence in Karnataka, as our Karnataka management-quota page documents.
3. Not Karnataka-only. There is no domicile requirement. Any Indian candidate may register, and the exam is home-proctored, so there is no travel at all.

What registered candidates do now

• Do not buy a ‘result’. No result date is printed on the official key-dates page as of 20 September 2026. Scores flow to the B-schools selected in the application — the official site describes sharing KMAT scores with chosen B-schools as part of the process.
• Treat today’s sitting as done. The MBA paper was 2 to 4 pm, MCA 10 am to 12 pm, home-proctored. If a session failed on the candidate’s setup, the official contact ([email protected] / +91.80.23444555) is on the same homepage — not a consultant’s phone.
• Re-read the member-college list you selected. KMAT is the route into the management share at KPPGCA member colleges, not into Christ, Jain, Alliance or NMIMS Bangalore.

If you missed the window

KPPGCA runs one KMAT per cycle, so there is no second 2026 sitting. The honest same-cycle picture: CAT 2026 registration closed 15 September, NMAT registration runs to 10 October, SNAP registration runs to 25 November with December tests, and MAT’s next session is December — still without candidate dates on AIMA’s page — the trade-offs are on our missed-CAT page and MBA without CAT map. One page, one habit: before you pay anyone anything, open the official page yourself. The deadlines tracker carries our verified KMAT entry, but the live truth is kmatindia.com’s own key-dates page — registration moved twice this cycle, and the admit-card and mock lines flipped from TBA to printed dates between 15 and 20 September, which is exactly why re-checking beats remembering.
