KMAT Karnataka 2026: The 14 November Test Date Is Back

The September result is still missing — and the new session’s date is back

If you sat KMAT 2026, the MBA paper ran Sunday 20 September 2026, 2 to 4 pm, online and home-proctored over two hours. Twenty-nine days later, no result date and no answer-key notice is printed anywhere we can reach — kmatindia.com serves, and kppgca.karnataka.gov.in has been DNS-unresolved from this host for twenty-nine consecutive days. Do not pay anyone who claims to know the score before KPPGCA publishes it.

If you did not register for the September sitting, the door is open — and the date is printed again: the official homepage and key-dates page, both re-read this morning, print the new session — online registration ends 31 October 2026, test Saturday 14 November 2026, home-based remote-proctored over two hours, admit card and practice test TBA, open to All-India candidates. The 14 November date was printed on 6 October, withdrawn to TBA on 7 October, restored on 19 October after twelve days and held a third day today — so hold it loosely until admit cards print.

What KMAT actually is

The Karnataka Management Aptitude Test is run by the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association — the body of private MBA/MCA colleges in the state. Its score feeds the management share of seats at member colleges: university-affiliated, AICTE-approved institutions. The homepage counter shows 159 MBA member institutions today; the about paragraph on the same page still says 189. We print both.

Three things KMAT is not:

1. Not a deemed-university door. Christ, Jain, Alliance, GITAM, NMIMS Bangalore — these fill every seat through their own processes. No KMAT score, no route in through the “KMAT quota”, because none exists. Our Bangalore direct-admission page maps which colleges sit on which side of this line.
2. Not a paid shortcut. Seats in the management share are allotted on KMAT merit, at fees published before option entry. Anything above the published fee is capitation — a criminal offence in Karnataka, as our Karnataka management-quota page documents.
3. Not Karnataka-only. There is no domicile requirement. Any Indian candidate may register, and the exam is home-proctored, so there is no travel at all.

What September candidates do now

• Do not buy a ‘result’. No result date is printed anywhere as of 20 October 2026 — twenty-nine days after the test. Scores flow to the B-schools selected in the application — the official site describes sharing KMAT scores with chosen B-schools as part of the process.
• Watch the official site, not WhatsApp forwards. KPPGCA’s own page is where the result notice will land; the government portal has been unreachable for twenty-nine days, so kmatindia.com is the governing read.
• Re-read the member-college list you selected. KMAT is the route into the management share at KPPGCA member colleges, not into Christ, Jain, Alliance or NMIMS Bangalore.

If you missed the September window

Register for the new sitting on kmatindia.com before 31 October 2026 — the test date is printed again as Saturday 14 November 2026 (printed 6 October, withdrawn 7 October, restored 19 October), so hold plans loosely until the admit card prints. One page, one habit: before you pay anyone anything, open the official page yourself. The deadlines tracker carries our verified KMAT entry, but the live truth is kmatindia.com’s own key-dates page — registration moved three times this cycle, the admit-card and mock lines flipped from TBA to printed dates inside a week in September, a whole new session appeared while the previous result stayed missing, and the new session’s own test date was printed, withdrawn for twelve days and reprinted — which is exactly why re-checking beats remembering.
