Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade is the Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s own management school — a deemed-to-be university whose MBA (International Business) is the trade-focused counterpart to FMS’s generalist MBA in the same city. For 2026-28 there is exactly one domestic door: CAT 2025, then a Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The institute says so itself, and adds a line worth memorising: IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

What should an applicant plan for?

A bachelor’s degree of at least three years with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD), a CAT 2025 score strong enough to clear IIFT’s shortlist, and a physical second round — GD and PI at one of ten centres from Delhi and Kolkata to Indore and Lucknow. Final-year students can apply, with proof of the degree due by 31 October 2026. The application window for 2026-28 closed on 28 November 2025, so the practical audience today is the 2027-29 cycle: expect the same rhythm, with forms closing in late November around the CAT date.

The money, stated honestly: the brochure publishes the 2025-27 Delhi fee — Rs 21.82 lakh all-in with boarding and lodging, plus a Rs 10,000 refundable security — and declines to state a 2026-28 figure, which will arrive in the offer letters. SC, ST and PwD students receive a 50% tuition-fee concession. Anyone quoting you a precise 2026-28 IIFT fee today is repeating the old number or inventing one.
