Last updated 3 September 2026 · Reviewed by Piyush Agarwal · Latest change: Initial sourced profile published from the official TSB MBA programme page (fees, accreditation, residential format, closed status) and the official university PG eligibility page (bars, test menu, five-part merit list) — both opened 3 September 2026
The short answer
As of September 2026, TAPMI School of Business at Manipal University Jaipur admits to its NBA-accredited two-year residential MBA with 50% in graduation and a CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT or GMAT score, through a merit list weighing academics, the entrance test, interview, presentation and an English comprehension test. Tuition is Rs 5,10,000 per year; 2026-27 applications are marked closed.
Selection process
- Apply through the Manipal University Jaipur admissions portal (Indian and international applications are separate streams).
- Hold a valid score in CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT or GMAT; graduation at 50% aggregate is the bar, with final-year proof due by 31 October 2026.
- The school draws a merit list on five components: academics (Class 10, 12 and graduation), the entrance test, a personal interview, a presentation and an English comprehension test.
- MBA (Business Analytics) runs a variant process: 50% at graduation (maths in 10+2 and an engineering/science/computer-applications/economics background preferred), selection on career record and interview at equal weight.
- The offer is confirmed by paying the at-admission amount (Rs 5,35,000 for the general MBA) against the university's receipt.

Is there a management quota here?
TSB publishes exactly one route: an application and a five-component merit list. No management-quota, NRI-quota or paid-seat percentage appears on the programme or university eligibility pages we opened on 3 September 2026. The page's own status line is worth quoting because it is the opposite of agent behaviour: it marks the last date to apply for 2026-27 Indian admissions as closed — a school that prints its own deadline is a school whose process you can verify.
TAPMI School of Business at Manipal University Jaipur is the mid-budget residential door of the city’s MBA map: a two-year, fully residential MBA mentored by TAPMI, Manipal and NBA-accredited since 2023, at Rs 5.10 lakh a year — roughly half the sticker of the big accredited PGDM brands. Its answer to the trust question is a status line most colleges avoid printing: it tells you, on the page, when applications are closed.
What should an applicant plan for?
The bar is a bachelor’s degree at 50% aggregate, with final-year proof due by 31 October 2026, and one of CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT or GMAT. The merit list has five components — academics across Class 10, 12 and graduation, the entrance test, a personal interview, a presentation and an English comprehension test — which means a strong school record genuinely offsets a middling percentile here. The Business Analytics variant selects differently (career record plus interview at equal weight) and prefers maths-friendly backgrounds; the Real Estate Management variant prefers engineers, architects and experienced candidates.
The money is printed: Rs 5,35,000 at admission (first-year tuition plus registration and refundable caution), Rs 5,10,000 for year two. Because the programme is residential, the honest comparison adds hostel and mess from the university’s own hostel-fee page — and even fully loaded, this sits well below the city’s Rs 13.5-14.75 lakh doors, which is the point of the degree.
The planning note is temporal: the page marked 2026-27 applications closed when we opened it on 3 September 2026, so treat TSB as a 2027-cycle target — keep a CAT 2026 or MAT December 2026 score in hand, and apply the day the window opens. The verified Jaipur city guide places this door against MNIT, IIHMR and Jaipuria.

Questions, answered
- Which exams does TSB at MUJ accept for the MBA?
- Five — CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT or GMAT — feeding one component of a five-part merit list that also weighs Class 10, 12 and graduation marks, a personal interview, a presentation and an English comprehension test. There is no separate written test of the school's own.
- What is the TSB MUJ MBA fee?
- Rs 5,10,000 per year in tuition — Rs 10.2 lakh for the two-year degree — plus Rs 10,000 one-time registration and a Rs 15,000 refundable caution deposit; Rs 5,35,000 is payable at admission. Hostel and mess are additional on this residential campus, so budget those from the university's hostel-fee page before comparing.
- Does TSB MUJ have a management quota?
- No quota is published anywhere on the official pages. Admission runs through one merit list, and the school prints its own application status — currently 'closed' for 2026-27 Indian admissions. An agent claiming a live TSB seat after the school's own page says closed is the red flag, not the exception.
- Can I still apply for 2026-27?
- The programme page marks both Indian and international application deadlines as closed for the current cycle when we opened it on 3 September 2026. The honest move is to call the admissions office for any waitlist reality, and otherwise treat this as a 2027-cycle door: the mentorship connection with TAPMI Manipal and the 2023 NBA accreditation are not going anywhere.
- How is TSB related to TAPMI Manipal?
- TSB is Manipal University Jaipur's business school, run under the academic mentorship of TAPMI, Manipal — curriculum and academic-rigor inheritance rather than a shared campus or shared placement cell. The Jaipur MBA carries its own NBA accreditation (2023) and its own fee (Rs 10.2 lakh tuition, against TAPMI Manipal's Rs 9.75 lakh a year), so compare them as separate degrees.
