Is there a management quota here?
No management quota exists at SICSR. It sits inside Symbiosis International (Deemed University), whose standing caution notice prints that every programme is admitted strictly on merit through SIU's own tests (SNAP for postgraduate programmes), that the university charges no capitation fee, and that candidates approaching agents can be permanently debarred. The SICSR admission schedule carries one merit list process and no paid-seat layer.
SICSR is the budget door of the Symbiosis system: a SNAP-only MBA in information technology at Rs 2,85,000 a semester — roughly Rs 11.4 lakh across two years, less than half of SIBM Pune’s printed bill — with the institute’s whole 2027 admission calendar published to the day. What should an applicant plan for?
Two registrations, one exam. SNAP first (closes 25 November 2026), then SICSR’s own form after the result (closes 16 January 2027) — miss the second and the SNAP score is worthless here. The process after that is Symbiosis-standard: slot booking, a Group Exercise and Personal Interaction in February, the merit list on 24 February 2027. The fee trap to avoid is arithmetic: the table prints “per annum” labels above per-semester instalments, the same pattern that mispriced SIBM Pune for weeks.
Where does SICSR sit in a Pune shortlist?
At the value end of the Symbiosis line — below SIBM Pune and SCMHRD on both fee and selectivity, and a specialist IT-management degree rather than a general MBA.
