NMIMS Mumbai MBA Offer Letter Checklist (2026): What to Verify Before Paying
A practical NMIMS Mumbai MBA offer-letter checklist for 2026: fee, programme, payment, cancellation and official-channel checks before paying.
The short answer
As of 18 September 2026, the NMIMS admission handout prints the MBA fee table for 2026-28 'for information only' — Rs 13,50,000 per annum for the Mumbai flagship — and says the binding 2027-28 amount is intimated at admission in the offer letter. Before paying, match programme, campus, amount, due date and cancellation route to the letter and NMIMS's own pages. Never pay an agent.
An MBA offer can create a false sense of urgency, especially when the school has not published a universal fee table for the incoming year. For NMIMS Mumbai, the right response is not to guess the total or send a holding amount to somebody claiming access. It is to verify the actual offer, document by document, before the payment window closes.
Start with the programme, campus and intake
Read the programme name in full. NMIMS runs more than one management offering and has more than one campus; a familiar-looking logo does not make two offers interchangeable. Confirm that the letter names the Mumbai School of Business Management programme you applied for, the intended batch, and your own application details. If any of those differ from your application, pause and ask the official admissions team in writing.
Treat the amount in the offer as the current fee source
The management-programmes handout governing the current cycle prints a reference fee table “for information only” — Rs 13,50,000 per annum for the Mumbai flagship, down to Rs 9,00,000 at the newest campuses — and says the fee for the second academic year “will be intimated at the time of admission in the offer letter”. That makes a precise public “NMIMS MBA fee” number for your batch unreliable until your letter arrives. The full campus-by-campus ladder, from the same table, is on our NMIMS campuses compared page.
Check these items together:
- the amount and whether it is described as tuition, a first instalment, or another charge;
- the payment deadline and the time zone or portal condition attached to it;
- the official payment link or instructions supplied by NMIMS;
- the receipt generated after payment; and
- the withdrawal/cancellation instruction that applies to your offer.
Save the offer, receipt and relevant portal screenshots. They are more useful than a screen recording from a broker if a deadline or amount later needs clarifying.
Keep the payment channel official
NMIMS’s public caution notice says there is no management quota for any programme and warns applicants not to engage in monetary transactions connected to such claims. An offer of a “confirmed” seat, an off-portal payment, or a request to transfer money to a person is therefore a stop sign, not a service.
If someone says they can accelerate or protect an offer, ask them to point to the same instruction on an NMIMS domain. If they cannot, do not pay. The legitimate route is the published NMAT-and-selection process explained in our NMIMS selection guide.
Check cancellation before you commit
The university provides an online cancellation route and says withdrawal requests are handled according to the offer/counselling letter and the applicable competent-authority refund rules. Read that part before payment, not after accepting a competing offer. Our NMIMS cancellation and refund guide explains the official route without inventing a refund percentage.
A sensible question to send admissions
If anything material is missing, ask one specific question through the official address or portal: “Please confirm that this offer is for [programme and campus], the payable amount is [amount], and the linked cancellation process applies to this offer.” Keep the reply with the offer. That is a small step, but it separates documented information from pressure.
For a wider fee context, see the NMIMS Mumbai MBA figures that are actually published. If the offer is real and you still need money or a Mumbai living plan, continue with the education-loan checklist or the out-of-town budget checklist before the payment date.
Udaan can help you read an official offer and compare it with your alternatives, but we cannot create an offer, extend a university deadline or secure a seat outside the process. If you want that read-through, start on the contact page.

- Where should the 2026-27 NMIMS MBA fee appear?
- The 2026 handout prints a reference fee table 'for information only' — Rs 13,50,000 per annum for the Mumbai flagship, less at the other campuses — and says the binding AY 2027-28 fee is intimated at admission in the offer letter. Treat that letter and the official payment route as the current authority, rather than a quoted figure from an agent or search result.
- Can an agent collect an NMIMS MBA payment?
- No. NMIMS publishes a standing warning that it has no management quota and that offers involving one are fraudulent. Pay only through the official process against an NMIMS receipt.
- What if the payment deadline is unclear?
- Ask NMIMS admissions through the contact route in the offer letter before paying. Keep the question and response with your payment record; do not rely on a forwarded message or an unofficial WhatsApp claim.
