NMIMS Mumbai MBA Fees in 2026: The Published Figures, Sourced

NMIMS Mumbai MBA fees, sourced: Rs 13,50,000 per year (AY 2025-26 handout figure), the unpublished 2026-27 fee, Rs 2,900 application charge, scholarships.

The short answer

As of July 2026, the only NMIMS Mumbai MBA fee published in writing is Rs 13,50,000 per year, the AY 2025-26 figure printed 'for information only' in the batch 2026-2028 admission handout. The AY 2026-27 fee is not published; NMIMS says it will be intimated in the offer letter at admission. The application charge is Rs 2,900.

Ask an agent what the NMIMS Mumbai MBA costs and you will get a “package”. Ask NMIMS and you get exactly two written answers: a published per-year figure for the last academic year, and a plain statement that the next year’s fee arrives in your offer letter. This page sticks to what the university has put in writing, names the document behind every number, and explains what any figure above those numbers actually means.

What is the published NMIMS Mumbai MBA fee?

Rs 13,50,000 per annum. That is the tuition for the flagship full-time MBA at the School of Business Management, NMIMS Mumbai, as published in the Admission Handout for Management Programs (NMAT 2025), the document governing the batch 2026-2028 intake. The handout prints it as the AY 2025-26 figure, explicitly “for information only”.

Two details give that number its context. First, the programme runs two years over six trimesters (SBM NMIMS MBA program page), so the per-annum figure is half the tuition picture, not the whole of it. Second, the figure is the last one NMIMS chose to publish, not a quote for the year you will actually join. Treat it as the university’s own reference point for budgeting, nothing more.

One quirk worth knowing: the official fee-structure page on nmims.edu publishes no figures itself. It points to the Admissions Handout. If a website shows you an “NMIMS fee structure” with numbers the handout does not contain, you are reading someone else’s estimate.

What has NMIMS not published for 2026-27?

The fee itself. The handout for batch 2026-2028 states that fees for the academic year 2026-2027 will be intimated at the time of admission, in the offer letter. No rupee figure for AY 2026-27 exists in any official NMIMS document as of July 2026.

That is worth sitting with, because it is where misinformation breathes. Any site quoting a precise “NMIMS MBA fee 2026-27” today is publishing a guess. The honest position is narrower: the last published figure is Rs 13,50,000 per year (AY 2025-26, admission handout), the next figure arrives per candidate in the offer letter, and the only place to confirm the current position is the official fee-structure page and the handout it points to.

Practically, this means you budget against the AY 2025-26 figure, assume some revision, and verify the real number the moment your offer letter arrives, before you pay anything.

What does it cost just to apply?

Two separate payments to two separate organisations. NMIMS charges an application registration fee of Rs 2,900, with no GST, payable online only and non-refundable (batch 2026-2028 admission handout). GMAC, which administers NMAT, charges its own exam registration fee; NMIMS does not publish that amount, so confirm the current figure on GMAC’s official NMAT page.

There is a costly trap hiding in the retake rules. GMAC permits up to three NMAT attempts in a testing year (mba.com NMAT page). But the NMIMS handout states the university accepts only the score of the first NMAT attempt. Money spent on second and third attempts does nothing for an NMIMS application. If NMIMS Mumbai is your target, prepare so that attempt one is your best attempt; our NMAT guide covers how the exam and the school policies fit together.

What scholarships does NMIMS publish for the MBA?

One named scheme, on the official programme page. The SBM NMIMS MBA program page lists Mirae Asset Foundation scholarships: ten need-cum-merit awards of up to Rs 30 lakh for the full-time MBA. The published criteria include annual family income below Rs 8 lakh, an EWS certificate, and an education loan taken from a nationalized or private bank.

Ten awards against a full MBA cohort is a narrow gate, so treat this as real but scarce support for candidates who genuinely meet the need criteria, not a general discount. Check the current terms on the SBM MBA program page before building it into your plan.

What does any figure above the published fee mean?

It means someone is asking you to fund a crime, because there is nothing legitimate to buy. NMIMS publishes a standing caution notice stating there is no management quota at NMIMS for any program, that any e-mail or SMS offering one is fraudulent, that no monetary transactions should be entertained, and that such activity should be reported to the Police and to [email protected]. The MBA admission handout repeats the warning and adds that canvassing in any form disqualifies the candidate.

So the arithmetic is simple. The university’s published costs are the Rs 2,900 application charge, the GMAC exam fee, and tuition as declared in the handout and your offer letter. A “package” above that is not a premium route. It is either capitation, which Maharashtra’s Prohibition of Capitation Fee Act, 1987 makes a criminal offence, or plain fraud against a seat that was never for sale. Promises of a certain seat at NMIMS are the signature of the scam, not a service. The full story, including a documented racket that quoted lakhs for a non-existent NMIMS quota seat, is in our NMIMS management quota explainer, and the legal frame around such payments is in our management quota MBA guide.

Every seat at NMIMS Mumbai is filled on NMAT merit through the published process. The stages themselves are covered in our NMIMS Mumbai selection process guide.

How Udaan helps with NMIMS Mumbai fees

We keep you inside the published numbers and the published process. Udaan helps you plan the real costs — the Rs 2,900 NMIMS application charge, the GMAC exam fee, tuition against the AY 2025-26 reference figure — time a first NMAT attempt that counts, and read your offer letter’s fee declaration before you commit. We take no commissions from any college; every rupee of fees goes from you to NMIMS directly, against the university’s own fee structure and a receipt. And if your budget and the published figures do not meet, we will say so plainly and show you what else in Mumbai’s MBA landscape fits, rather than invent a shortcut that does not exist. Start with a conversation at our contact page.

All figures on this page carry their year and source inline. Confirm the current fee position in the official admission handout and your own offer letter before paying anything.

Straight answers

What is the NMIMS Mumbai MBA fee for 2026-27?
No number has been published. The admission handout for batch 2026-2028 states that fees for the academic year 2026-2027 will be intimated at the time of admission, in the offer letter. The latest published figure is Rs 13,50,000 per annum for AY 2025-26, printed in the same handout for information only.
How much is the NMIMS application fee for the MBA?
Rs 2,900, with no GST, payable online only and non-refundable, per the batch 2026-2028 admission handout. This is NMIMS's own registration charge and is separate from the NMAT exam registration fee, which you pay to GMAC.
Does NMIMS offer scholarships for the full-time MBA?
Yes. The SBM NMIMS MBA program page lists ten need-cum-merit Mirae Asset Foundation scholarships of up to Rs 30 lakh for the full-time MBA. Criteria include annual family income below Rs 8 lakh, an EWS certificate, and an education loan from a nationalized or private bank.
Can I pay extra for a management quota seat at NMIMS Mumbai?
No. NMIMS publishes a standing caution notice stating there is no management quota for any program, that offers claiming one are fraudulent, and that no monetary transactions should be entertained. The MBA admission handout repeats the warning and adds that canvassing in any form disqualifies the candidate.
Where does NMIMS actually publish its fees?
In the admission handout, not on the fee-structure page. The official fee-structure page at nmims.edu publishes no figures itself; it points to the Admissions Handout. The governing document as of July 2026 is the Admission Handout for Management Programs (NMAT 2025), covering batch 2026-2028.
Does retaking NMAT change what I pay NMIMS?
It changes what you pay GMAC, not NMIMS, and it does not help your NMIMS application. GMAC permits up to three NMAT attempts per testing year, but the NMIMS handout states the university accepts only the score of the first attempt. Paying for retakes buys nothing at NMIMS.
