Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon
Last updated 24 September 2026 · Reviewed by Piyush Agarwal · Latest change: Initial profile — every figure from the institute's own pages opened today: the 2026-28 fee table (Rs 13,35,000 academic; Rs 19,82,000 with the mandatory residence), the printed no-management-quota notice verbatim, the Rs 2,200 common-form application, the 50%-across-10th/12th/UG eligibility bar with the under-36-months work-ex limit, the class-of-2026 placement report (average Rs 12.1 lakh, highest Rs 24 lakh, 30+ new recruiters), and the mid-rollover cycle page disclosed (title reads 2027-29; printed deadlines all past). Intake not printed — disclosed, not guessed.
The short answer
As of 24 September 2026, Great Lakes Gurgaon admits its two-year PGDM on GMAT, CAT or XAT scores plus an AI-proctored video interview and a personal interview — the printed notice says no management quota exists and third parties offering seats are fraudulent. The 2026-28 fee page prints Rs 13,35,000 academic, Rs 19,82,000 with the mandatory hostel. Class-of-2026 placements: average Rs 12.1 lakh.
Selection process
- Apply online on greatlakes.edu.in — Rs 2,200 per application; a single common form can carry both the Gurgaon and Chennai campus choices.
- Appear for GMAT (Classic, Focus or Online editions), CAT or XAT before applying; the page prints no minimum cutoff, and appearing in an accepted exam is mandatory.
- Sit the AI-proctored video interview, then the online personal interview; evaluation weighs the test score, academics across 10th, 12th and graduation, work experience and both interviews.
- Cycle structure: four admission cycles — the Gurgaon page still prints last cycle's deadlines (4 December 2025, 10 January, 10 February and 15 March 2026, all past), while the title reads 2027-29; the new cycle's dates are awaited.

Is there a management quota here?
No — and the institute says so in its own words on the admissions page: 'Great Lakes Institute of Management does not admit students under Management Quota or any other form of reservation. Any third party organization or individual offering management quota seats for Great Lakes programs would be fraudulent and applicants are requested not to approach such organizations or individuals.' Admissions run only through the online application on greatlakes.edu.in, and no third party is authorised to initiate applications. Anyone selling a Great Lakes Gurgaon seat is describing a route the institute itself calls fraudulent.
Great Lakes Gurgaon is the NCR campus of Great Lakes Institute of Management — a two-year, fully residential PGDM that prints the sentence every family should want to see on a B-school’s website: the institute does not admit students under Management Quota or any other form of reservation, and anyone offering such seats is fraudulent. We profile it today from greatlakes.edu.in’s Gurgaon pages, opened 24 September 2026.
What should an applicant plan for?
The route has four printed stages: the Rs 2,200 online application (one common form can carry both the Gurgaon and Chennai choices), an accepted exam — GMAT in any edition, CAT or XAT, with no published minimum cutoff — then an AI-proctored video interview and an online personal interview. Eligibility asks for a bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% across 10th, 12th and UG, and the PGDM is reserved for freshers and candidates with strictly less than 36 months of work experience; with 2-3 years behind you, the institute steers you toward the one-year PGPM while keeping the PGDM door open.
One timing disclosure matters today: the admissions page title already reads “PGDM 2027-29”, but the four printed cycle deadlines — 4 December 2025, 10 January, 10 February and 15 March 2026 — are all past, and the eligibility header still says “PGDM 2026 Intake”. The page is mid-rollover; the new cycle’s dates are not yet republished. The Chennai page prints its 2027-intake block with deadlines marked ‘to be declared’. Watch the official page rather than any aggregator for the Cycle 1 date.
The fee table — Rs 19.82 lakh all-in for 2026-28
The official fee page prints the 2026-28 structure to the rupee: Rs 13,35,000 academic (tuition Rs 8,30,000 + programme fee Rs 5,05,000, books and online resources included) and Rs 19,82,000 in total once the mandatory twin-sharing AC accommodation of Rs 6,32,000, the refundable Rs 10,000 caution deposit and the Rs 5,000 alumni subscription are added. Vegetarian meals are included; the programme is AICTE-approved and refunds follow AICTE norms. That is Rs 2,68,000 less than Chennai’s printed Rs 22,50,000 for the same batch years — the full side-by-side sits on our Chennai vs Gurgaon comparison. The 2027-29 table is not yet published; any figure quoted for it today is a guess.
Placements — the class of 2026 on the institute’s own page
The placement-report page prints an average CTC of Rs 12.1 lakh and a highest of Rs 24 lakh for the PGDM class of 2026, with 30-plus new recruiters (JPMorgan Chase, Citicorp Services, Capgemini, Delhivery, ICICI Bank, TVS Motor Company, Mahindra Finance, Wipro among them) joining repeat names like Deloitte, EY, Bank of America, KPMG and Vedanta. Offers spread across IT/ITES (28%), BFSI and Fintech (23%) and Business Consulting (17%). Read the average against the batch size and the median wherever you can — our methodology guide shows how — and note the intake is not printed anywhere we opened, so we do not print one either.
The quota answer
There is no management quota at Great Lakes Gurgaon, and the institute publishes that position itself, in the paragraph quoted above on this page. Admissions run only through the online application; no third party is authorised to initiate one. If someone offers you a Great Lakes seat against a “donation”, the institute’s own word for that offer is fraudulent — walk away and, if you wish, forward the pitch to the admissions office.
