Rajagiri’s MBA is the Kochi campus most families in Kerala already know by name — a four-semester Mahatma Gandhi University-recognised degree run by the autonomous Rajagiri College of Social Sciences at Kakkanad, selected through the college’s own Business Awareness Test, group discussion and interview. Two things make it unusually safe to recommend: the fee is fixed by the State Fee Committee, and the college publishes a flat written refusal of donation and capitation for management seats.

What should an applicant plan for?

One combined Rs 1,000 application covers Rajagiri’s MBA, MA in HRM, PGDM, PGDM-International and IEMBA — tick the programmes you actually want. For the MBA specifically, the 2026 cycle accepted CMAT-2026, CAT-2025 and the February 2026 KMAT Kerala; MAT, XAT and GMAT counted only for the PGDM family, a distinction agents conveniently blur. The eligibility bar is 50% in a recognised bachelor’s degree, relaxed to a pass for SC/ST, and students finishing their degree in March-May of the admission year may apply.

The calendar matters. For 2026, applications opened 20 December 2025 and closed 15 May 2026, with GD-PI phases from the last week of January, the last week of February, and within a week of the KMAT result. A candidate attends GD-PI only once in a cycle, though more than one entrance score can be reported. The rank list follows within 20 days of the GD-PI, weighted BAT 20%, GD 40%, PI 40%. The same shape repeats every year, so a 2027 applicant should be ready by December 2026.

The disclosure is equally clear on money: Rs 6,00,000 total tuition across two years as fixed by the Justice B. N. Srikrishna fee committee, about Rs 90,000 for hostel, 120 seats, and recorded campus placements of 103, 94 and 90 students across the last three published years. What the disclosure does not publish is a salary figure — so any agent quoting a Rajagiri “average package” is quoting something the college has not put in that document.

Between the state floor and the private PGDMs, on evidence. CUSAT SMS undercuts everyone on fee; SCMS Cochin offers a six-exam PGDM at Rs 7.95 lakh with a written merit-only rule; XIME Kochi is the compulsory-residential option at Rs 9.9 lakh. Rajagiri’s case is the university degree, the A++ NAAC grade and the written no-capitation promise.
