The state-university layer: 120 seats filled on a rank list that weights the entrance test 70%, the interview 20% and Class-12 marks 10%, accepting CMAT, CAT or KMAT Kerala from tests held after November 2025. The official 2026 fee schedule lists Rs 53,842 a semester all-in for general students — roughly Rs 2.15 lakh for the degree — with published AIQ and NRI rates. When seats stayed vacant in 2026, the university printed its own real-time admission round for 13 July with a category-wise vacancy table: the legal vacancy route, documented.
The university MBA with a written refusal — Rajagiri (CMAT/CAT/KMAT)
The autonomous Rajagiri College of Social Sciences runs a four-semester MG-University-recognised MBA at Kakkanad: 120 seats, a fee fixed by the State Fee Committee at Rs 6,00,000 total, and selection through its Business Awareness Test, GD and PI weighted 20/40/40. The admissions page states in writing that no agency or middlemen are entrusted with admissions and that there is no donation or capitation consideration for management seats — the cleanest no-quota answer in the city.
The six-exam PGDM — SCMS Cochin School of Business (incl. KMAT)
The Prathap Foundation's PGDM at Muttom, Aluva: 120 seats, six accepted tests (ATMA, CAT, CMAT, KMAT Kerala, MAT, XAT), published weights of 20/35/20/20/5 across graduation, test, GD, PI and other criteria, and tuition of Rs 1,32,500 per trimester — Rs 7,95,000 across six trimesters. Its admission page carries the written line that merit is the only criterion for admission, and its Batch-32 placement page reports 89 students placed at a Rs 6.78 lakh average.
The residential option — XIME Kochi (seven tests, KMAT at Kochi alone)
XIME's Kerala campus is the group's KMAT door: CAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA — or KMAT, listed for Kochi alone — then GD-PI under 35/40/13/12 weights. The Kochi fee for 2026-28 is Rs 9,90,000 against Bangalore's Rs 12,90,000 for the same diploma, hostel mandatory at Rs 12,000-16,000 a month. Intake is 150 of the group's roughly 540; the admission FAQ quotes institution-wide placements of Rs 10.8 lakh average. No management-quota route is published.

- Is there management quota for MBA in Kochi?
- Not at any of the four verified layers. CUSAT is a state university that fills by rank list and prints its own vacancy rounds. Rajagiri states in writing there is no donation or capitation for management seats. SCMS publishes that merit is the only criterion. XIME publishes no quota route.
