Last updated 20 September 2026 · Reviewed by Piyush Agarwal · Latest change: Initial profile from the school's own pages opened today: the full 2027-28 SNAP-to-merit calendar, the 2026-28 Indian-student fee table with instalment arithmetic made explicit (Rs 4,67,500 per semester, not the per-annum label), SNAP scaled to 50 of 100, intake 150, and a warning not to mix the weekend-MBA eligibility page with the full-time programme.

Is there a management quota here?
No management quota exists at SSBF. It sits inside Symbiosis International (Deemed University), whose standing caution notice prints that every programme is admitted strictly on merit through SIU's own tests (SNAP for postgraduate programmes), that the university charges no capitation fee, and that candidates approaching agents can be permanently debarred. The SSBF selection page prints one 100-mark merit process and no paid-seat layer.
SSBF is the banking-and-finance door of the Symbiosis system at Lavale: SNAP-only, 150 printed seats, and a 2026-28 fee table whose instalment row is Rs 4,67,500 a semester — about Rs 9.35 lakh a year — once you stop reading the ‘per annum’ label. Every date and rupee below is from ssbf.edu.in, opened today.
What should an applicant plan for?
Two payments. SNAP at INR 2,550 per test (closes 25 November 2026), then SSBF’s own INR 1,000 form (closes 17 January 2027). The how-to-apply page is blunt: no SNAP score, no SSBF admission, and the score is valid for one year only. After the 12 January SNAP result the campus shortlist posts 21 January; GE-PI plus a Written Ability Test run across two February windows; the first merit list posts 1 March 2027. Selection is a printed 100-mark machine: SNAP scaled to 50, the rest GE, PI and WAT.
Where does SSBF sit in a Pune shortlist?
Between SIDTM and SIIB’s flagship IB on the printed academic bill, and well above SICSR on price. It is a specialist banking-and-finance MBA, not a generalist SNAP campus. Our specialist comparison puts the four bills in one table. Against Pune’s wider field in our city guide, the honest-counselor point is unchanged: SIU runs one merit machine — our direct-admission page maps what does and does not exist.
How Udaan helps with SSBF applicants
We time the two registrations so the 17 January SSBF payment is not lost after the SNAP result, check that families have not mixed the 30-seat weekend page with the 150-seat full-time MBA, and prepare GE-PI-WAT around the printed 50/50 split.

Questions, answered
- What is the SSBF Pune MBA fee?
- Rs 4,67,500 per instalment — Rs 9,35,000 a year in academic fees for the 2026-28 batch, per the official fee page opened 20 September 2026. The first instalment at admission is Rs 7,24,600 because it also carries the two refundable deposits, three-sharing hostel (Rs 1,57,300) and mess (Rs 59,800). Read the instalment row, not the 'per annum' label.
- Does SSBF accept CAT or only SNAP?
- Only SNAP. The how-to-apply page prints 'No candidate is entitled to seek the admission to MBA-Banking and Finance of SSBF without a valid SNAP Score' and that a SNAP score is valid for one year only.
- What are the SSBF dates for the 2027-28 batch?
- SNAP registration closes 25 November 2026; tests 13, 19 and 26 December 2026; SNAP result 12 January 2027; SSBF's own form closes 17 January 2027; GE-PI 4-6 and 11-14 February 2027; first merit list 1 March 2027; programme starts 1 June 2027.
- How is SSBF selection scored?
- On 100 marks, per the official selection-criteria page: SNAP scaled to 50, and the remaining 50% assigned across Group Exercise, Personal Interaction (including academic performance and work-ex) and Written Ability Test. No published cutoff.
- Is there a management quota at SSBF?
- No. SIU's caution notice prints merit-only admission, no capitation, and permanent debarring for anyone who approaches through an agent. SSBF's selection page prints one cumulative merit process.
- Is the 30-seat weekend MBA the same programme?
- No. The 30-seat, one-year-work-ex, Saturday-Sunday page is a different programme. The full-time MBA (Banking and Finance) prints 150 seats and a two-year residential duration on the overview page.
