What Changed in MBA Admissions: 24 September 2026
The short answer
On 24 September 2026, the first official SNAP mock sat in its 12-noon-to-9-pm window — the portal shares no public test content, credentials were candidate-only. SIBM Noida published its 2027-29 calendar with the institute form closing 15 January 2027, after the SNAP result. Great Lakes Gurgaon, NMIMS Navi Mumbai and XIME Chennai were profiled; Masters' Union's fee held at Rs 38,56,692 three days before Round 1.
What changed?
| Item | Before | Now |
|---|---|---|
| SNAP 2026 mock — SAT TODAY; no public test content, as designed | Mock instructions live; test link due on the day by SMS/WhatsApp/email | The first official mock ran today, 24 September, in its printed 12-noon-to-9-pm window for candidates who paid by 22 September. The official mock page continues to print the instruction set — four sections (General English 10, Analytical & Logical Reasoning 20, Quantitative/DI/DS 20, Ethics, Morality and Values 10), 60 minutes, 0.25 negative marking, scores for reference with no percentile — but the test itself is credential-gated (login SNAP<SNAP ID> / SNAP2026), so no public answer key or question content exists to report. The next milestones that matter: SNAP registration closes 25 November 2026; CBT dates 13/19/26 December 2026; result 12 January 2027 |
| SIBM Noida — the 2027-29 institute calendar is NOW LIVE | Important-dates page still showed the completed 2025-26 cycle; new-cycle dates awaited | The important-dates page (sibmnoida.edu.in/important-dates, rendered and read today) now prints the full 2027-29 cycle: institute registration and payment close 15 January 2027 — three days AFTER the 12 January SNAP result, unlike SCIT/SIHS/SIIB which close before it — shortlist 20 January, GE-PI across 8-10 and 23-25 February 2027, first merit list 8 March 2027, fees for the first list by 23 March, programme commences 8 June 2027. The 60-seat intake, the two unlabelled fee tables and the no-quota-line reading stand. Profile updated |
| Great Lakes Gurgaon — profiled; the no-quota sentence is on the institute's own page | Only the Chennai campus profiled | The Gurgaon PGDM now has a verified profile: 2026-28 fee Rs 13,35,000 academic / Rs 19,82,000 all-in with the mandatory twin-AC residence; GMAT/CAT/XAT with an AI-proctored video interview plus PI; 50% across 10th/12th/UG; freshers and under-36-months candidates only; class-of-2026 placements average Rs 12.1 lakh, highest Rs 24 lakh. The admissions page prints, verbatim, that the institute does not admit students under management quota or any reservation and that third parties offering such seats are fraudulent. The cycle page is mid-rollover (title 2027-29, deadlines all past) — disclosed |
| Great Lakes Chennai vs Gurgaon — the Rs 2.68 lakh campus gap, in print | Fees lived on separate campus pages | One comparison now holds both campuses' printed 2026-28 tables: Chennai Rs 22,50,000 all-in against Gurgaon Rs 19,82,000 — the whole gap in the academic block, the residence and deposit lines identical to the rupee. Same Rs 2,200 common form, same exams, same no-quota sentence. Chennai's 2027-29 cycle deadlines are marked 'to be declared'; Gurgaon's are mid-rollover. Class-of-2026 placements side by side: Chennai average Rs 15 lakh (BFSI 37% of offers), Gurgaon Rs 12.1 lakh (IT/ITES 28%) |
| NMIMS Navi Mumbai — profiled; the NMIMS MBA campus set is complete | Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Indore profiled; Navi Mumbai missing | The fifth NMIMS MBA campus is mapped from the campus homepage (NMAT by GMAC, then GD and PI) and the re-downloaded 2026 handout: Rs 11,00,000 per annum, priced with Bengaluru and Hyderabad — Rs 2.5 lakh a year below the Mumbai flagship. First-attempt rule and the 30% women's provision re-confirmed in today's download. Two disclosed absences: the campus placements page prints no salary table, and no campus-wise intake prints anywhere. The university's no-management-quota notice stands verbatim |
| XIME Chennai — profiled; TANCET opens the Chennai door alone | XIME Bangalore and Kochi profiled; Chennai missing | XIME's third campus is mapped from the institute's admission and fee pages: 150 seats (540 across the three campuses), the Chennai and Kochi fee table at Rs 9,90,000 across two years — Rs 3 lakh below Bangalore's Rs 12,90,000 — TANCET accepted for Chennai only beside XAT/CAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/ATMA, a no-backlogs rule, compulsory residence, Rs 25,000 + Rs 10,000 refundable deposits, and a tuition-fee waiver for parental income below Rs 8 lakh. No management-quota percentage is published for any XIME campus |
| MAT September 2026 scores — STILL DUE; December selector sighted, no schedule | Scores due 'by the last week of September 2026' per AIMA | Eighth consecutive check: AIMA's MAT page and mat.aima.in both still print September results 'by the last week of September 2026' — i.e., this week, not yet out. The mat.aima.in form widgets now show a 'December MAT' session selector, but the date options inside carry stale legacy entries (2023-era) and no official December candidate schedule is posted anywhere — mat-december-2026 stays unbuilt. Do not pay anyone claiming December MAT dates |
| Masters' Union — fee holds; Round 1 closes in THREE days | Rs 38,56,692 total; Round 1 closes 27 September 2026 | The official PGP TBM page re-read today: total fee Rs 38,56,692 (admission Rs 90,000 + tuition Rs 37,66,692) unchanged, Round 1 closes 27 September 11:59 pm — three days from this digest — MU-BAAT window 28 September-4 October, interviews 7-15 October (indicative), decisions 18-19 October. The .org site governs |
| Watches — KPPGCA day 5, IIM Jammu day 14, SIMC dates 404, Welingkar 403 | KMAT results unannounced with the portal DNS-dead day 4; IIM Jammu NXDOMAIN day 13 | kppgca.karnataka.gov.in is DNS-unresolved for a fifth consecutive day and no KMAT result date is printed anywhere reachable; iimjammu.ac.in does not resolve for a fourteenth day (the CAP 2026 portal still serves the completed cycle); SIMC's important-dates page still 404s (the prospectus PDF carries the calendar); welingkar.org still 403s (the pgdm application subdomain serves). findurcollege.com's sitemap re-fetched: 1,466 URLs, newest MBA-layer lastmod still 23 July — zero MBA money-page movement, day 27 |
What should you do now?
- If you took the SNAP mock today: treat it as calibration only — the printed scores carry no percentile. The dates that matter now are registration close 25 November and the December CBTs; three attempts, best score counts.
- If SIBM Noida is on your list: its own form closes 15 January 2027 — AFTER the 12 January SNAP result, so you can wait for your score at this campus (unlike SCIT, SIHS and SIIB, which close before it). Still register for SNAP itself by 25 November.
- If you sat MAT this month: scores are due by the last week of September on AIMA's own pages — check mat.aima.in directly, and ignore anyone selling 'December MAT registration' before AIMA posts a candidate schedule.
- If Masters' Union Round 1 is your target: three days left (closes 27 September 11:59 pm). The fee printed Rs 38,56,692 today on the official .org site.
- If someone offers a 'quota seat' at Great Lakes, NMIMS or XIME: all three institutions print that no such route exists — Great Lakes and NMIMS call such offers fraudulent in their own documents. Ask for the printed page; it will not appear.
