The short answer

On 15 September 2026: CAT 2026 registration closes today at 5 pm per the official advertisement. SPJIMR's PGDM application for the June 2027 start is open now and closes end of November. IMT's Common Admissions 2027 is open at Rs 3,500. MAT's September CBT and KMAT 2026 both test on 20 September; SNAP's first official mock needs a completed application by 22 September.

What should you do now?

  1. If CAT 2026 is your plan: today is the day — registration closes at 5 pm IST. The official advertisement lists no extension, and the next full-value attempts are NMAT (registration to 10 October), SNAP (to 25 November) and XAT (to 6 December).
  2. If SPJIMR is on your list: the application is open now at Rs 2,000 and closes end of November — and it takes CAT or GMAT only, so a CAT registration today is the prerequisite for most Indian applicants.
  3. If you sit MAT CBT or KMAT on 20 September: download the MAT admit card from 17 September 5 pm on mat.aima.in; KMAT's admit card date is still TBA on the official key-dates page — check it daily rather than through a forward.
  4. If you are targeting IMT: the common application covers Ghaziabad, Nagpur and Hyderabad in one form at Rs 3,500; remember CMAT counts only for Nagpur.
  5. If SNAP is in your plan: finish the application by 22 September to sit the first official mock on 24 September; registration proper stays open to 25 November.
  6. ISB Round 1 closes 20 September (as verified on 12 September; isb.edu rejected our automated check today, so the printed date carries its earlier verification) and Masters' Union Round 1 closes 27 September — both rows are on the deadlines tracker.

The season’s biggest single deadline lands today: CAT 2026 registration closes at 5:00 pm IST on Tuesday 15 September. We re-read the official CAT 2026 advertisement today — the printed document hosted by IIM Calcutta — and it lists no extension: registration opened 3 August, closes today at 5 pm, admit cards run 4-29 November, the computer-based test is 29 November in three sessions, and results are due the first week of January 2027 (tentative). The fee is Rs 2,700 (Rs 1,350 for SC, ST and PwBD), paid once, non-refundable, across around 170 test cities. The live portal’s edge blocked our host today, so the printed advertisement is the governing document — its own header says the CAT website is final, and the website showed the same close date when it last rendered for us on 14 September.

The quieter news is on the 2027-29 side: SPJIMR’s PGDM application is open as of today. The Mumbai institute’s page carries the “Applications Open” badge for the June 2027 start, and its admissions page prints the window — mid-September to end of November — at a Rs 2,000 processing fee, on CAT or GMAT only, with a 50% graduation bar and room for fresh graduates through five years of work experience. In-person interviews run January-February 2027 across Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Delhi. IMT’s Common Admissions 2027 is open too — one Rs 3,500 form covering Ghaziabad, Nagpur and Hyderabad, on CAT 2026, XAT 2027 or GMAT.

Two exams test this Sunday, 20 September: MAT’s September computer-based test (admit cards from 17 September, scores by the last week of September per AIMA) and KMAT 2026’s MBA paper, 2-4 pm, home-based and remote-proctored — its admit-card date is still marked TBA on the official page five days out, which candidates should treat as a reason to check the page daily, not as reassurance.

And SNAP’s first official mock is one week away: 24 September, for candidates who complete their application by 22 September. Registration proper runs to 25 November with the three December test dates unchanged.
