- Hold a valid score in any one of CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT or GMAT — printed on the official admission-procedure page.

- Selected candidates are informed through email; joining students pay per the printed fee structure.

Is there a management quota here?
IPE's admission procedure prints one route for everyone: register on IPE Admissions, carry one of six exam scores, attend the personal interview. No management-quota percentage, no institute-level seat block and no paid bypass is published on any page we opened. Treat anyone selling an IPE 'management-quota seat' as contradicting the institute's own printed process.
IPE Hyderabad is the city’s budget-conscious AICTE PGDM door: a six-exam admission menu, a printed Rs 9,15,000 two-year bill and an institute-published placement table you can check yourself. Every figure below comes from ipeindia.org pages opened 25 September 2026.
What should an applicant plan for?
The printed route is three steps: register on IPE Admissions online, carry any one of CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT or GMAT, then attend the personal interview — at IPE Hyderabad or in major cities, physical or online. The eligibility bar is a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/PC) from a UGC-recognised university. Six accepted exams is the widest menu among Hyderabad’s established PGDM schools, and the practical effect is that the door stays open all cycle: missed CAT and XAT windows still leave MAT, ATMA, CMAT and GMAT.
The fee, in arithmetic
The official 2026-28 table prints a grand total of Rs 9,15,000: Year 1 Rs 5,15,000 (admission fee Rs 50,000, tuition Rs 3,10,000, IT/library/activities Rs 1,40,000, refundable caution deposit Rs 15,000) and Year 2 Rs 4,00,000 (tuition Rs 3,10,000, IT/library/activities Rs 90,000). Hostel is extra and printed beside it: Rs 1,50,000 single or Rs 1,20,000 double occupancy per year with food and accommodation, 2026-27, subject to revision; transport is Rs 45,000 a year. Two need-and-merit instruments sit on the same page — the AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver for parental income within Rs 8 lakh (tuition only, up to 5% of intake) and merit scholarships of Rs 60,000 to Rs 4,00,000 keyed to CAT and XAT/GMAT percentiles, with no cap on the number offered.
Placements: the institute’s own table
IPE publishes a plain three-year table rather than a glossy report: 2025 — 81.4% placed, average Rs 7.02 LPA, highest Rs 20 LPA; 2024 — 91.5%, average Rs 7.02; 2023 — 85.9%, average Rs 7.1. The course-wise breakup for 2025 (in process, per the institute’s own note) runs from PGDM-BFS at 89.6% placed down to PGDM-IB at 77.5%. Averages around Rs 7 lakh against a Rs 9.15 lakh ex-hostel bill make this a mid-market value case — respectable, disclosed, and not to be confused with the Rs 20-lakh-plus averages of the city’s premium tier. Our placement-report methodology explains the questions to ask before weighing any average.
The quota answer
No management-quota, institute-level or discretionary route prints on any IPE page we opened — the admission procedure, the fee page and the scholarship section all describe the same open process for every applicant. The honest concession instruments are the TFW and the scholarship grid, both printed. Anyone selling an IPE “management-quota seat” is contradicting the institute’s own pages; verify directly with IPE Admissions before paying anyone anything.
How Udaan helps with IPE applicants
We map your strongest exam score against the six-exam menu before you register, run the honest total (tuition Rs 9.15 lakh, hostel Rs 2.4-3 lakh across two years, transport if day-boarding) against the Hyderabad field, and check the TFW income line and percentile-keyed scholarships you may qualify for. Where IPE fits, we say so; where a state route or another PGDM fits better, we say that instead.

Questions, answered
- What is the IPE Hyderabad PGDM fee?
- Rs 9,15,000 across two years on the official 2026-28 table opened 25 September 2026 — Year 1 Rs 5,15,000 (including a Rs 15,000 refundable caution deposit) and Year 2 Rs 4,00,000. Hostel, if taken, is extra: Rs 1,50,000 single or Rs 1,20,000 double occupancy per year with food, for 2026-27, subject to revision.
- Which exams does IPE Hyderabad accept?
- Any one of CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT or GMAT, per the official admission-procedure page. There is no single mandatory test — the six-exam menu is one of the widest among Hyderabad's PGDM schools, and MAT or ATMA keep the door open late in the cycle.
- Is there a management quota at IPE Hyderabad?
- No such route is published. The printed process is the same for everyone: the online registration, one valid exam score and a personal interview. No quota percentage or paid bypass appears on any IPE page we opened — anyone selling one is contradicting the institute's own admission procedure.
- What are IPE's placements really like?
- The institute's own three-year table prints: 2025 — 81.4% placed, average Rs 7.02 LPA, highest Rs 20 LPA; 2024 — 91.5% placed, average Rs 7.02 LPA; 2023 — 85.9%, average Rs 7.1 LPA. Averages in the Rs 7 lakh range against a Rs 9.15 lakh bill make this a mid-market value case, not a premium-outcome school — read it against our placement-report methodology.
- Who qualifies for IPE's tuition fee waiver?
- Students whose parents' annual income from all sources is within Rs 8 lakh, per the AICTE TFW scheme IPE prints on its fee page. The waiver applies to tuition only — every other fee stays payable — and is capped at up to 5% of approved intake per course, so apply early and keep income proof ready.
- IPE or IMT Hyderabad — which is cheaper?
- On today's printed tables they are close but structured differently: IPE prints Rs 9,15,000 for 2026-28 excluding hostel; IMT Hyderabad prints INR 16 lakhs for 2027-29 including accommodation and mess. Comparing like with like (add IPE's double-occupancy hostel for two years, about Rs 2.4 lakh, to reach roughly Rs 11.55 lakh all-in) still leaves IPE the cheaper printed door — see our IPE vs IMT Hyderabad comparison.
