Selection process
- Take CAT and clear the published shortlist minimums: General 75/75/75 with 95.25 overall; EWS 60/60/60 with 89; NC-OBC 60/60/60 with 88.5; SC 45/45/45 with 75; ST 25/25/25 with 44; DAP 25/25/25 with 30. The page itself notes clearing the cut-off is necessary but not sufficient for a shortlist.

Is there a management quota here?
No. IIM Trichy is an Institute of National Importance whose published admission process is entirely mechanical: CAT minimums, the JAP 2026 common interview, and a printed final-weight formula (CAT 52%, PI 20%, work experience 10%, academics and diversity the rest). The official PGPM admissions page opened on 8 September 2026 carries no institute-level, management or NRI channel — the only door is the printed one, and the institute publishes its waitlist movement publicly, round by round.

What should an applicant plan for?

The interview is run jointly for the participating IIMs under JAP 2026, across six cities and four IIM campuses, so one interview performance carries across the group.
The profile arithmetic rewards the experienced candidate: work experience peaks at 24-29 months and counts for nothing below 6 months or beyond 48.
