What Changed in MBA Admissions: 6 October 2026
The short answer
On 6 October 2026, SNAP's Ethics, Morality and Values mock sits tomorrow (its application closed yesterday; question bank 8 October); NMAT registration closes in four days (10 October); MAT September scores stay unposted on day seven with AIMA's page now printing the December block alone; and KMAT's site has rolled to a new 14 November session without posting the September result.
What changed?
| Item | Before | Now |
|---|---|---|
| SNAP — the Ethics mock sits TOMORROW; its application closed yesterday | Homepage promoted the Ethics, Morality and Values mock: apply by 5 October, mock 7 October, question bank 8 October — deadline day | The application window for the 7 October EMV mock closed yesterday (5 October) as printed. The snaptest.org homepage, re-read this morning, still displays the block: mock test 7 October, EMV question bank 8 October, slot timings shared with registered candidates by SMS, WhatsApp and email. The real registration stays open to 25 November; tests 13, 19 and 26 December; result 12 January 2027; 17 institutes, 32 programmes, 79 cities, best-of-3 all re-confirmed |
| NMAT — four days to the close | nmat.nmims.edu printed 'NMIMS MBA 2027 Application Closes: 10th October 2026' with five days left and a new career-outcomes block | The portal re-read this morning: 'Application Closes: 10th October 2026' stands — four days. The official FAQ on the same page repeats the first-attempt rule ('NMIMS only accepts the first attempt scores'), and the two-step flow (GMAC registration, then the Rs 3,000 NMIMS application before exam day) governs. The Admission Handout re-downloaded today prints the same close, the Rs 13,50,000-a-year Mumbai fee and the no-quota warning verbatim |
| MAT — September scores day seven; the page has flipped a fifth time | AIMA's page printed BOTH the September 2026 block (with the expired score promise) and the December block side by side | The page flipped again overnight — the fifth shape-change in a week: today's read shows the December 2026 block alone (PBT closes 14 December, CBT 21 December, scores by the first week of January 2027); the September block with its expired 'last week of September' promise is gone again. No score-release notice exists anywhere. mat.aima.in SERVED today after days of 403s — but renders a stale May 2025 schedule, not a September score notice. The applicant dashboard remains the only channel |
| KMAT — the site has moved on to a November session without posting the September result | Sixteen days after the 20 September test: kmatindia.com serving, no result date on the homepage or the key-dates page; KPPGCA DNS-dead | kmatindia.com now prints a NEW session on both pages: online registration ends 31 October 2026, KMAT 2026 test date Saturday 14 November 2026 (MBA and MCA, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, home-based remote proctored), admit card and practice test still TBA. The 20 September sitting's result is still not posted anywhere — day sixteen — and kppgca.karnataka.gov.in stays DNS-unresolved, day sixteen. The site has rolled forward the way AIMA's MAT page did: the next session governs the homepage |
| Watches — SIMC dates day 13; Sirmaur still unrolled; Great Lakes Chennai rollover; MDI banner stands | SIMC dates day 12; Sirmaur's two stale fee pages; MDI's 2027-29 banner live (closes 28 November) | SIMC's own 2027-29 dates still unpublished, day 13 — the MBA-CM programme page re-read today carries curriculum and career content only; the prospectus governs. IIM Sirmaur's rollover watch continues: /mba-fee-structure still prints the 2025-27 Rs 20,00,000 table and /fee-structure the 2023-24 Rs 16,00,000 table. Great Lakes Chennai's cycle page remains mid-rollover. MDI's 'Applications Open' banner stands (closes 28 November); SPJIMR closes 27 November; XIM's XGMT sits 17 January with applications to 15 December |
What should you do now?
- If you applied for the SNAP Ethics mock: it sits TOMORROW, 7 October — watch for your slot timing by SMS, WhatsApp and email, and the EMV question bank lands 8 October. Missed the mock application? The real SNAP registration stays open to 25 November.
- If NMAT is your NMIMS door: registration closes 10 October — four days. Only your first attempt counts, and the Rs 3,000 NMIMS application must be complete before your exam day. Finish both steps now.
- If you sat MAT September: day seven, still no score anywhere. Check your mat.aima.in applicant dashboard directly (the portal served today but shows a stale May schedule); the December session — PBT closes 14 December, CBT 21 December — is the re-entry route.
- If KMAT is your Karnataka door: a new session is on the official site — register by 31 October, test 14 November. The September result is still unposted; treat anyone selling early access as fraudulent.
- If an agent quotes an IIM Sirmaur '2026-28 fee': the institute's main site still prints two stale tables (2025-27 and 2023-24). The only 2026-28 reading is the dated admissions-portal one — ask which page they are reading.
Mock eve for SNAP’s Ethics section: the application closed yesterday and the mock sits tomorrow. NMAT’s countdown reaches four days. MAT September’s missing scores reach day seven — and AIMA’s page flipped a fifth time, back to printing the December block alone. KMAT’s official site has moved on to a November session without ever posting the September result. Every item above was verified on official pages or official PDFs opened today, 6 October 2026.
